Posting for traffic!! I’m in town and not leaving until I’m done 🤣
Stocking fillers for a 4.5 yr old boy! I’m stuck
So far I have
Pjs
Underpants
A book
Personalised Nutella jar
Chocolate coins
Dinosaur finger toy

What else could I throw into the stocking?? I’m walking around aimlessly 😭

Brightly coloured flannel
Those straws that make milk chocolatey
Variety pack box of “naughty” cereal
Bath Crayons
Glow sticks

MiniEggAddiction · 03/12/2019 13:15

I always get DC a kid bath bomb from lush, some temporary tattoos. Some kind of chocolatey thing from Thorntons with their names on. I usually like the little toys in Waterstones too.

SouthWestmom · 03/12/2019 13:17

A torch. All the boys I've raised have loved a good torch. Or walkie talkies

Bet off topic but please think about not saying 'im a a bit ocd'; it's really offensive. As the mother of a child sectioned for this I'd really like language to be kinder and more considerate. It's not how tidy your stocking looks.

formerbabe · 03/12/2019 13:17

Bubbles
Stickers
Socks
Books
Colouring book
Pens
Flannel with his favourite character on
Mini Lego set
Yo-yo
Craft stuff
Toothbrush
Hat
Gloves
Top trumps
Play doh

Tink1989 · 03/12/2019 13:18

a blind bag of some sort, my 4 year old loves the lego ones

HaudYerWheeshtYaWeeBellend · 03/12/2019 13:20

In B&M bargains they have joke stuff, farting noise can, woopie cushion, mini microphone, mini voice changer etc... think they are about £2.99 each.

What about his own hot chocolate cup?

Damntheman · 03/12/2019 13:30

My kids love those Mini BOO collectable figures from the TY beanie baby range.

ColdRainAgain · 03/12/2019 13:33

Smith's had some giant chocolate coins last week (like 6 inches). I've seen similar in M&S before. My u year old went wide eyed at that.

I'd get another small toy or 2, and leave it there. How good are his numbers?? A Top trumps set might work if he's mathematical.

Debenhams had some good stuff. I've got a melting snowman and an insect in a lolly from there, but they had a wide variety of small toys and games.

edwinbear · 03/12/2019 13:33

A squishy
Tub of candy floss
Lego figures
Projector torch

Likeawolf · 03/12/2019 13:40

This Sound Effects toy was a great success with my son (the 'evil laugh' is hilarious). I think you can shop around and get it for under a fiver too. Some of the sounds are very funny and they come in different versions but I think the classic one is the best. www.amazon.co.uk/NPW-Sound-Effect-Prank-Toy/dp/B06X43STB4/ref=asc_df_B06X43STB4/?hvlocphy=1006505&linkCode=df0&hvptwo&psc=1&hvnetw=g&hvadid=309911992479&hvpone&hvlocint&hvpos=1o1&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl&hvqmt&tag=mumsnetforu03-21&hvtargid=pla-562749762216&hvrand=149691683309497181

Straycatstrut · 03/12/2019 13:41

Glow sticks (I put these in xmas eve box for xmas eve bath)

Bath bomb (ditto xmas eve box)

Wooden train whistle
Bubbles
Liquid Egg timer
One of those playdough bath squidgy roll things from Lush called "Fun" (my 2 love those!)
Slinky
Matching cards to do snap (theme whatever he likes - loads to choose from)
Jigsaw
Keyring for his school bag
Poster/mini picture/tapestry for his room

sparepantsandtoothbrush · 03/12/2019 13:47

They're so easy at that age! I'll do yours if you do my almost 15 year old son's stocking 😁

Are you near a Hawkins Bizarre? They've always got good stocking fillers in there.

Fcukthisshit · 03/12/2019 13:51

I ordered a super hero cape and mask set from amazon. It’s comes all folded up so perfect size for a Christmas stocking.

User478 · 03/12/2019 13:54

Batteries and blue tac

Londonmummy66 · 03/12/2019 13:55

When DC were that age they liked bath crayons - couldn't draw on themselves due to skin condition but could draw/write on the tiles by the bath and then wipe off - used to practice their spellings that way as they thought that was fun rather than work.....

RosieLancs · 03/12/2019 13:55

If there is a Hawkins Bazaar nearby, head there! It's where I do all the stocking filler shopping!

Straycatstrut · 03/12/2019 13:57

Anything that glows in the dark or lights up is usually considered very cool. I've got my 7yr old a set of neon glow in the dark paints (B&M so don't know how good they'll be!) to paint pictures & paper mache models and put up in his room to see if they glow at night... fingers crossed!

Ooo have you seen the sets where you smash open the Geodes to get the crystals out? Mine have some of them this year, can see them being a major hit! Grin

TheLastQueenOfPop · 03/12/2019 13:58

If you're near The Works, they do "farts in a can" (I've just ordered online for the kids stocking) as making Alexa fart is one of their favourite things - they're age 4 and 6

Stockingfiller1 · 03/12/2019 14:01

@ColdRainAgain he can recognise most numbers (0-9) but he’s not in school yet do nothing more than that. Tops trumps would be too much I reckon.

Stockingfiller1 · 03/12/2019 14:02

Thank you everyone. I think I’m sorted now... he’ll be delighted I’m sure! 👍
