So this one was going round the pub the other night and I thought it was a lot of fun. And actually quite thought provoking. So... can you guess my age from these 5 facts.

  1. I legally bought cigarettes at 16... and had them in the smoking room at work.
  2. my first concert was a Smash hits tour headlining Sean Maguire and Boyzone
  3. I paid tuition fees at university
  4. my favourite outfit as a pre-teen was from tammy girl
  5. I have no IT qualifications, including GCSEs. I never had a dedicated 'IT' subject on my school timetable.

So what year was I born???

And play along... :)

When are you going to tell us OP?

Shell4429 · 03/12/2019 17:57

I did a lesson called computer studies and I am 55. Ticker tape and input language! I didn’t understand any of it. But I reckon you were born in 1980.

Maybebabymummy · 03/12/2019 17:58

My brother was the 1st year that had to pay tuition fees born in 1980, so I will go sep 78 - aug 79 (I didn't and I went the year before)
I had some great stuff from tammy girl :-)

You must be younger than me if you paid tuition fees so.i am guessing 1980/81 ish.

ari11 · 03/12/2019 18:07

1971

Candymay · 03/12/2019 18:07

@doadeer you were born in 1988

Peregrina · 03/12/2019 18:10

Alsohuman

You could have been born in 1950/51. The age of voting would be the give away because the age was lowered from 21 to 18 in a 1969 Act but didn't take effect until the beginning of 1970. So I was able to vote then, but wasn't when I first turned 18.

M2B19 · 03/12/2019 18:11

1984

friedbeansandcheese · 03/12/2019 18:11

And mine:

  1. My first crush was Shakin' Stevens
  2. In the news when I was a teen - the IRA, ending of the Cold War
  3. In my first year of uni Scott and Charlene got married
  4. My fav lipstick as a teen was Pacific Prawn
  5. I was born in the year Britain went decimal - is that too easy?
Andypromqueen · 03/12/2019 18:11
  1. I too had a smoking room at work, bought clothes from Tammy girl and went to see the smash hits tour so I’d say same age as me!
friedbeansandcheese · 03/12/2019 18:13

@TheQueensCousin - 1964?

Forgottenwhatsleepis · 03/12/2019 18:15

I was born in 83 and I'm 36, and I definitely had IT lessons so I'm going with 38/39

friedbeansandcheese · 03/12/2019 18:16

Come on,@couldbeouting - bizarre clues! 1960?

CouldBeOuting · 03/12/2019 18:19

@CouldBeOuting you are 49

@Candymay... soooo close! Actually nearly 51!

SmellMySmellbow · 03/12/2019 18:26
  1. Bit younger than me due to the Boyzone thing.
reginafelangee · 03/12/2019 18:32

Slightly younger than me. You are early 40s so 1977-1980.

poseysbobblehat · 03/12/2019 18:36

@friedbeansandcheese you were born 1971, so 48.
