To think anyone thinking of voting Lib Dems

... needs to know this. They’ve admitted they won’t be scrapping Article 50. Better to vote Labour to get the evil Tories out.

YABU

DH is a Lib Dem supporter - always has been and always will be. I am not.

He would not vote Labour under Corbyn.

It’s pretty immaterial anyway as tories get about 60% of the vote in our constituency.

AnnieTotach · 29/11/2019 19:18

I'm voting for them as labour and conservatives are simply too disgusting to vote for right now. No choice.

Mistlewoeandwhine · 29/11/2019 19:20

Thanks curlykaren

If I don't spoil, I'll go Lib Dem. It's all a fart in the wind in my safe seat anyway. I can't see 11,000+ people changing their minds for Party 2 with the demographic and history of my constituency.

mynameiswah · 29/11/2019 19:23

I'm not surprised. I said in another post that I don't trust them. They just jumped on the 'cancel brexit' bandwagon to get votes. They look both ways, and switch sides accordingly. No real principles. I'm voting Labour.

TheBlueStocking · 29/11/2019 19:25

The Lib Dems are dead to me.

I'm voting Labour because I'm not a piece of shit.

EmperorBallpitine · 29/11/2019 19:29

I live in a staunch Tory constituency. They never get anything less than a huge majority. But Labor got 4% of the vote share last election, and there's a big groundswell for Liberal Democrats as the candidate seems like a nice bloke and has local connections. So if I have to cast my vote for LD in that it MIGHT loose the Tories a seat, then I will.

angstridden2 · 29/11/2019 19:31

The bluestocking....nothing like a well reasoned political argument is there...

TheBlueStocking · 29/11/2019 19:34

Yeah, if you vote for the people who contributed to the unnecessary deaths of thousands and thousands of people, you're a piece of shit. I'm not one, so I'm voting Labour. Seems like a pretty reasonable argument to me Smile

Fleetheart · 29/11/2019 19:36

Lib Dem’s where I am - tactical vote- oh please let us get the tories out

Theworldisfullofgs · 29/11/2019 19:37

To be honest they are all crap. I'm going to vote for who is the least crap, so definitely not conservative or the brexit party.

missyB1 · 29/11/2019 19:37

It’s a two horse race in our town, Tory or Lib Dem so I have to vote Lib Dem even though my heart says Labour.

Fleetheart · 29/11/2019 19:39

Yes I agree with picking the best of a bad bunch wherever we can. Spoiling a vote seems a complete waste of time to me.

Normandy144 · 29/11/2019 19:40

It doesn't change my vote. I'll still be voting Liberal Democrats because in my area they are best placed to unseat the tories. I would still be happy with a second referendum so I'm not disappointed. Plus the manifesto actually clearly states that they would only cancel Brexit if they won a majority and if not (which face it ia most likely the case) then they'll pursue a second referendum.

colouringinpro · 29/11/2019 19:43

Maybe. Tory stronghold here, but wondering any Tory voters are switching, they'd more likely switch to Lib Dem?

MistyCloud · 29/11/2019 19:46

@Mistlewoeandwhine

It's because of utter trollocks like this (and people with attitudes like yours,) that I will be keeping my decision under my hat.

NO-ONE will know who I'm voting for. Not a soul. Not DH, not my family or friends. NO-ONE.

NO-ONE!!!

MistyCloud · 29/11/2019 19:46

Sorry I got carried away there... Blush

Yarboosucks · 29/11/2019 19:49

We have an utterly vile Tory sitting MP and the only way to get him out is to vote Lib Dem. So YABU to issue your instruction when in some constituencies voting Labour is a wasted vote.

Gwenhwyfar · 29/11/2019 19:53

Lib Dems are the Remain option in my constituency (one of the Unite to Remain constituencies) so I will be voting for them.
That doesn't mean I agree with austerity or with Jo Swinson's keenness to press the nuclear button.

SilverySurfer · 29/11/2019 19:55

You're quite right, I wouldn't vote for them if you paid me.

Vote Conservative!

cosima1 · 29/11/2019 20:01

I’m voting LD as the Tories only beat them by 50 votes in this constituency last time. It was also 75% Remain here so many ex-Conservative voters have shifted. Plus I couldn’t vote for either of the other parties in a million years, LDs or no LDs. Labour support is non-existent here.

georgialondon · 29/11/2019 20:11

I can't vote for Jeremy he's vile. So I'll have to vote Lib Dem.

Fl1mF1am · 29/11/2019 20:14

We’d rather have a second referendum so all will still be voting Lib Dem in this house.

marvellousnightforamooncup · 29/11/2019 20:18

The most important thing for me is to avoid a Tory majority and I would vote Lib Dem if they were the only chance of winning against the Tories I my area. I don't trust LDs not to go into coalition with them again though. As it is I'm in a SNP/Lab marginal so I'd be happy to vote either of them.

PortiaCastis · 29/11/2019 20:23

This constituency is very very marginal and the lib dems lost out to the tories by 322 votes in 2017 so my family and myself will be voting to keep the tories out
