....when you buy a sandwich in a shop you are getting the halves of two different sandwiches because they are made, put in a pile and sliced in half. I eat my two halves and somebody else is eating the other two halves.

I need to get a life don't i?

What silly things have you never realised?

@alexafindfilms I am completely with your husband on this one! I would NEVER!!! mix milk from 2 cartons. I am now very disturbed at the prospect of the milk being from many cows 🤢

PyongyangKipperbang · 28/11/2019 00:57

But its sooo obvious!!

All you need to do is look at the outside of the sandwich to see that the two halves dont match.

I am gobsmacked that no one else has worked this out :o

Hopingtobeamum · 28/11/2019 01:08

I knew about the cow milk but still in awe re sandwich!

BillHadersNewWife · 28/11/2019 01:19

The sandwich fillers have BARE HANDS!! They're mauling the bread...then the cheese...then when the woman put the bread lids on, she PRESSED IT DOWN!

Blech...that's disgusting!

SheSaidHummingbird · 28/11/2019 01:24

It's not even a case of 'someone else is eating the other two halves" because all the halves are packaged randomy, so it's more like a group of people sharing sandwiches.

SheilaBruce · 28/11/2019 01:55

I am acutely aware of this because I really DESPISE the bottom part of a loaf (you know, the horrible dried up bit). I consider it a victory when I get a sandwich that's resplendent with two luscious halves made of the good sides I may even attempt to quickly ascertain which sides I'm getting prior to purchase Grin

EBearhug · 28/11/2019 01:57

Even before modern milking parlours, milk was mixed in churns.

Trebla · 28/11/2019 02:11

No gloves and fingering the cheese....

HowDoYouLikeThoseSuedeApples · 28/11/2019 02:34

Never mind that where do they send the outsiders to die ? Cast aside for the insiders !

HowDoYouLikeThoseSuedeApples · 28/11/2019 02:42

Also love the idea that perhaps milk tankers have little liquid holding cells inside to cradle every cows individual contribution to the bottling plant where it fits the container perfectly every time.

1forAll74 · 28/11/2019 02:57

oh dear, I have only ever bought a packed sandwich thing about four times in my life, but on one of those occasions,I was in a rush, and hungry,so went in a sandwich shop. I fancied a chicken and salad two pack. But later when opening and eating them, one was a chicken and tomato one on white bread, and the other was a tuna and mayonnaise one on wholemeal bread. the label stated two chicken salad ones,

spacepyramid · 28/11/2019 11:26

How big does he think a single almond is then? grin

Brilliant. Maybe it's a genetically modified almond, like the enormous turnip.

Does he eat egg sandwiches? Can you imagine the logistics of trying to make sure that the pre-prepared egg mayonnaise is only from one bird?

To all pps disturbed about milk - think about mince and sausage meat Grin many a cow/pig all mashed in there!

spacepyramid · 28/11/2019 11:47

Yep, and many a part of their anatomy too.

Cauliflowerpower · 28/11/2019 11:53

Its ok folks - the egg mayo sandwiches on that video are all one sandwich... its the poor ham and cheese that lose their other halves!

OH THE HORROR

P1nkHeartLovesCake · 28/11/2019 11:59

I feel the sandwich has lost its other half

I also feel sad me and Sarah who has for the other half of my chicken salad sandwich will never meet. Like we’ve shared food and don’t even know it

What about wraps? Are they 2 different half’s too?

AlunWynsKnee · 28/11/2019 12:01

Don't tell the milk freaking DH about cheese. That's a whole bunch of cows' milk.

justthecat · 28/11/2019 12:02

I can confirm this, I used to work in a sandwich factory 😆

justthecat · 28/11/2019 12:03

Wraps are the same wrap

Toddlerteaplease · 28/11/2019 12:05

I quite like the idea that I’ve got a little sandwich soulmate out there somewhere! We’ll never meet but we’re forever bonded by a sandwich 😁😂

That just made me laugh out loud.

Outnumbered99 · 28/11/2019 12:08

Also gobsmacked that no one has ever worked this out before.. I make it my mission sometimes to try and get a sandwich where both halves are the "top" half and feel short-changed when I get two bottoms Blush

Toddlerteaplease · 28/11/2019 12:10

Slightly put off by the 'ham log'

Cam77 · 28/11/2019 12:30

I never realized that my Ryan Air flight traversing the Milky Way is going to take 200 billion years. In hindsight I probably should have paid for more legroom.

MistyCloud · 28/11/2019 12:49

@Outnumbered99 Nope, I didn't realise this before either. Smile

MistyCloud · 28/11/2019 12:49

All the stuff in those 'factory-assembled' sandwiches do seem to be fingered and mauled (with bare hands and fingers,) a bit more than I'd like.

I never buy or eat pre-packed, pre-made 'supermarket' sandwiches though, so I don't care. DH does though LOL. I am still deciding whether to show him that video of how they're made. Maybe he is better off not knowing!
