I’ve come to the conclusion with cats that you get out what you put in. I’ve had two, completely different from each other but both with strong personalities and very happy to interact with people. And I’ve always spent lots of time getting to know them and looking after them. The people I’ve known who say their cats are aloof and uninteresting are those who just feed them and put them out every day. They live alongside each other, and they don’t get much more.

Cats are fucking awesome....they just don't give a shit about the random human sofa that feeds them twice a day and cleans their toilet.

I don't really think you can judge it. All cat and all dogs are different just like humans! One cat can be full of personality and one dog could be totally lacking or visa versa depending on who you are comparing! Either way I love both and think all cats and dogs have lots of personality. If I had to vote which I prefer I'd say..... cats!! Grin

When I tell my cat to get off the counter or something like that he makes a noise that sounds like an annoyed "aw".

Mine does this, most commonly if I disturb her when she's dozing. It's a little squeek of irritation. Makes me smile every time.

When I open the door for the cat to come in or out she makes a little sound which i swear she is saying "thankyou" She is a an incredibly polite cat Grin
I read someone that adult cats dont meow to each other , they only do it to humans

Mine isn't. She frequently asks me why the fuck I've kept her waiting outside.
