Omg I think I am in the minority here (well I am in my social circle). I cannot stand people declaring their love for others on social media. For example someone's childs birthday and you get things like, my baby is my world, can't believe you are x age, so looking forward to watching you grow blah blah blah... I mean why do you need to tell everyone that? Tell your child to their face, it's not like they will even read it. I just don't get it, is it because if you say it on social media it must mean you love your kids more than those of us who don't?.. then your contacts start putting one liners about how much they love your child or your comment, like its a competition about who loves the kid the most. It honestly makes me want to puke. So much so I have deleted all of my social media so I do not have to see it anymore. .does anyone else out there feel like this or is it just me being a miserable old xxx

I just see it as an obvious attempt to cover up problems. Saw a couple who are literally on holiday together by themselves, posted some pictures and wrote 'x I love you so much!'. Then the partner responded with 'not as much as I love you'. You're on holiday with them, why not tell them to their face? Hmm Go and speak to them, or enjoy your holiday. Not have a conversation in the comments of your own post declaring your love for each other.
