Postman’s knock

Ok proper first world AIBU thread here.

I’m currently on maternity leave awaiting baby arriving in next few weeks. I’ve got an horrendous cold so as you can imagine my tolerance is unusually low.

My postman has taken to knocking on the door and ringing the doorbell EVERY day to give me my post, even though it would fit through the letterbox quite easily.

Today I’ve just tried to get my head down for a quick nap on the sofa while the kids are at school in a bid to feel a bit better. The sofa is directly next to the front door so he could see me. So he’s woken me up, I’ve answered the door and he’s said ‘trying to have a nap?!’

Yes I bloody am!!!

I know he’s probably just trying to be nice and I mean it semi light heartedly when I say AIBU to just ignore him next time regardless of whether he can see me?

Yep. Put a 'do not disturb' note on the front door. Get him trained up before the baby arrives (when you will want to kick him in the postbags if he knocks at nap time).
