To think that bigotry in is not acceptable just because someone is old

Just had a coffee in Costa, an older group of people came in, whilst getting on with my work I could hear their conversation. In the 20 mins they were present they proceeded to

. Blame the Epstein victims for what happened to them, apparently its ok because they were flown on private jets.

. Claim strictly will be ruined next year by same sex couples.

. Praise Boris Johnson for apparently committing to keep foreigners out.

Aibu to think this type of bigotry is not acceptable because the people saying it are older. Took all my strength not to say something.

The most bigoted people I know are millenials

Some of those are just views, I know plenty of people moaning about strictly and same sex couples, like boris is political.... I don't agree with these views but I've heard 20 year olds sharing them. As for Epstein, the facts are cloudy I'm not even going to try to second guess what really happened but I remember being 16/17 and I had a college friend who was a model who hung out with older rich guys and bragged about her life, she wasn't being trafficked, as I say no idea about this case

Anyone with Christian parents (and no doubt other religions) knows a core tenet of the belive is that people are equal
Funny you say that, I went on a Alpha course recently, during discussion groups we were all asked to come up with a club we'd like to start. Second person in - "get Muslims out of Britain club" nods and laughter all round, with comments of agreement. Just myself and one other woman looked at each other in horror, we also happened to be the only two in the group who weren't already Christians. We were also the two youngest (and I'm not young).

When it came to my turn to say what club I'd like to start I said a Muslim/Christian social club.

Were these the same Tories who sent vans around cities with 'Go Home Immigrant' on them and deported Windrush people? I wonder how many white immigrants, who'd lived here for 50 years were deported during that period?

Older people I know being more racist is my lived real world experience. I also know that anecdote doesn't equal evidence.
