it has appeared several times, imo it's really is a stupid expression. someone 'invents' an expression and the herd mentality follow thinking it's edgy or cool.
possibly bu not really bothered in the long run/

haha

Also agree with whoever said "head tilt" also "naice" I'm sure it originated from a funny thread or something but it really gets under my skin

I hate it. I think it’s been around for a while though - originated in the US?

I quite liked ‘naice’ though.

Alsohuman · 04/11/2019 16:27

My granny (born 1884) used to say it. I quite like it when used appropriately.

Where did it come from though? I mean I get what it's supposed to be (a posh/snobby person saying nice? Hyacinth style?) but did it come from some hilarious thread or what? Might help me to find it less irritating

ChardonnaysDistantCousin · 04/11/2019 16:54

It came from a thread where the OP wanted some ham, but not any ham, only a "naice" ham would do.

Illberidingshotgun · 04/11/2019 16:56

AryaStarkWolf I think it was something to do with a thread many years ago about a shopping list that someone had found. Among other things it had on it "ham for children" and "naice ham". There followed much discussion about what naice ham was. It's now become a general MN term. My memory is not the best though, so that may not be exactly right, but that was the general gist of it.

No, I think you're right, Shotgun
