Ryanair check-in

Hi
Dh, dd and myself were supposed to be traveling to Spain next week.
Unfortunately dh has been really ill and has decided not to go.

I have read on Ryanair's website that customers don't need to tell them if they don't turn up
But I'm confused about check in

If he doesn't check in they can resell the seat (he had a priority seat)

If he does check in and the flight is delayed over 2 hours he can get a Refund (it could happen!!)

Wwyd check in or not

If he checks in but doesnt board the plane wouldnt that cause issues on the plane or airport. Just curious

homeworkery · 29/10/2019 09:17

Why would it? The plane won't wait for him and he won't be scanned through security so they'll know he's not at the airport

BarbaraofSeville · 29/10/2019 09:19

there will be no food or duty free bought by that empty seat

I've never bought a single thing on the dozens of Ryanair flights I've been on, even when they were kind enough to fly me to Lanzarote for £30 return.

Somehow they manage to make a big profit, but I don't think it's from my custom.

Ticktocksaystheclock · 29/10/2019 10:14

No I've never bought anything either
I seem to be able to cope with 90 mins in the air without a disgusting meal and ick coffee.

The only reason I had priority for my DH is because he has a disability and has to sit on the aisle seat. ( Not disabled enough for assistance before anyone asks)

Ryanair won't even transfer the priority to me, or the baggage allowance

So me and dd will just have small bags

meanies
