To spend my children’s birthday money on them?

My children receive money from GPs for birthdays and christmases, but because I often use my money for days out and stuff they end up wracking lots of cash in their drawers.

They’re 6 & 10.

This last half term I have been using their cash to pay for days out for them. Otherwise we’d just be stuck in the house as I can’t afford it!

I feel so guilty! So hoping you guys will tell me it’s okay! 😬

Op your over thinking this and if you can't afford the days out you need to organise the money properly so you have a going out pot....

As I said... Have float of 100... Add to it with proportion of money you receive.. Put rest in perhaps building society books... You can still draw on the these if you need to take money out.

When you receive money just whack some in bank envelop and some in going out saving. When you next go to bank take envelope and pit it on.

Or ask gp to put onto your bank account?

Thanks I will. My local post office is rubbish! Closes at 3:30 during the week and closed on weekends! Working full-time is shit!!

We do the same. My dad, who has provided most of the money in their savings accounts, absolutely loves that it’s being used for things like that instead of being frittered away on sweets each week.
