To find this weird...

Got an envelope pushed through the door just now and in it was a ring. Not a particularly expensive one not that it matters. It didn't look new. On the envelope it had a phone number inside but it was not written, sort of stuck on numbers. I am a bit wtf to be honest. What's that all about?!

Ohh weird especially as the man who answered had no idea either

Sagradafamiliar · 22/10/2019 23:30

The ring will be cheap as it's only significance was to give the message: 'ring this number'. How creative.

Mrsmummy90 · 22/10/2019 23:41

Yeh that's weird af. So the guy on the phone had no clue about it?

AtrociousCircumstance · 22/10/2019 23:43

Did the guy on the phone ask anything about you, where you live, your name, ask to meet up?

Nillynally · 22/10/2019 23:45

Shamelessly place marking!!

VenusTiger · 22/10/2019 23:48

Did you tell the man on the phone that you’d call him again to see if he might figure this out later on OP?

DrinkSangriaInThePark · 22/10/2019 23:49

What do you mean by stuck on numbers? Stuck on individually or as a full number?

JeffreyJefferson · 22/10/2019 23:50

weird

SleepwalkingThroughLife · 22/10/2019 23:53

Numbers stuck on like a ransom note style?

katkit · 22/10/2019 23:56

placemarking the hell out of this.

Bouledeneige · 22/10/2019 23:57

OP this sounds interesting!

Can we see the ring and the stuck on numbers (not the whole number)?

DobbyHP · 22/10/2019 23:58

That's super freaky 😯

popNlock · 23/10/2019 00:03

Cover the last two numbers with something, dying to see this!

Nefelibata86 · 23/10/2019 00:03

Once had something similar and it turned out to be winnings on a scratch card from ages before. Was a Celtic style ring

tensmum1964 · 23/10/2019 00:14

Intriguing. Don't know how to place mark so.following. Smile

covetingthepreciousthings · 23/10/2019 06:54

I don't know how to block parts of it out as obviously a full number would not be appropriate to post.

You could put some paper over just the last 2-3 digits, or a hand?

covetingthepreciousthings · 23/10/2019 06:55

I don't know how to block parts of it out as obviously a full number would not be appropriate to post.

Or just take a photo zoomed in of 3-4 of the numbers?
I think posters are just wanted to see what kind of stuck on numbers they are.

namechangenumber2 · 23/10/2019 07:04

Ooh this is intriguing! Could it be an ex?

Tohavefarted · 23/10/2019 07:08

Have you recently moved in?

IceAndASlice123 · 23/10/2019 07:38

Not recently moved in.
Wouldn't be from an ex.
Can only think it's a prank. The guy did say he had recently separated so most likely down to that. Maybe his ex posted a ring back randomly when she was drunk or something, doesn't really explain the stuck on numbers but must be related to her.

RockinHippy · 23/10/2019 10:37

Do you have DCs??

My own DD got one very like this when she was 8, only the ring was a Haribo ring & the serial killer style secret note also said to meet for a coffee at a local cafe,, with phone number.

Turned out to be from a lad in the year below her who thought he'd get in before the perceived valentine rush bless him, his serial killer note still makes me laugh today 😂

JorisBonson · 23/10/2019 10:55

Please can we see a picture? I am into this.

ShawshanksRedemption · 23/10/2019 11:44

Is the number a premium rate number?

penisbeakers · 23/10/2019 11:55

PHOTO REQUIRED

cover the last couple of digits with a coin or something

WhenISnappedAndFarted · 23/10/2019 11:55

Did you describe the ring to him? Surely he'd know if it was his ex's
