City worker or not it was

MarshaBradyo · 22/10/2019 08:56

Unnecessary and thuggish behaviour. Luckily others stepped in.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 22/10/2019 08:58

I don’t think violence is the answer - but what did they really think pissed off commuters would do after a week or so of having central London messed up (having done this earlier in the year)?

Who gave them the right to hold the city hostage? Public Transport in London is crap at the best of times - we need to make it better not worse or people will drive.

MarshaBradyo · 22/10/2019 09:01

When I saw the footage I thought my god standing on that train. I’ve been there with that sea of faces trying to get to work and gasped at what a bad idea it was.

I can’t agree with the kicking no matter what demographic and lucky that others didn’t too rather than join in otherwise it could have been a very bad outcome.

MarshaBradyo · 22/10/2019 09:03

It was also a bad idea because people don’t join the dots with the business as usual message. I did think immediately why public transport until another poster said why

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 22/10/2019 09:12

I thought - Jesus they are going to fall off and hurt themselves. Then I thought - the emergency services have better things to do than try to get someone off a train.

MarshaBradyo · 22/10/2019 09:18

No problem with them getting him down.

Out of interest if anyone is saying he deserved the kicking what would have done if you were there? Join, nothing, step in

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 22/10/2019 10:36

I don’t think anyone is - but they understand why people were pissed off (still not right to lay hands on anyone) but really, did they not think that people would be angry?

Skinnychip · 22/10/2019 15:36

I felt sorry for the tfl staff! Its bad enough that they have hordes of angry customers to deal with in the usual broken down train/signal failure/leaves on the line scenario without dickish people standing or gluing themselves to trains, creating a wholly unavoidable situation.

Skinnychip · 22/10/2019 15:37

avoidable

Dapplegrey · 22/10/2019 18:10

I can’t agree with the kicking no matter what demographic and lucky that others didn’t too rather than join in otherwise it could have been a very bad outcome.

How much of a ‘kicking’ did the stupid little shit actually receive? Is there any other footage apart from the one doing the rounds at the moment?Have we heard his side of the story?

MarshaBradyo · 22/10/2019 18:15

I take it you wouldn’t have stepped in Dapplegrey?

The footage I saw was some big angry white man (not some poor BAME worker as a pp put it) going for it. Cba finding it and watching again to screenshot.

MarshaBradyo · 22/10/2019 18:24

I know people cheer on what happens to these ‘little shits’ on the internet but would you cheer it on if there

Dapplegrey · 22/10/2019 20:31

What difference does it make if he was kicked by a white man or a BAME person.?

MarshaBradyo · 22/10/2019 20:33

Because someone says they saw a sea of BAME people. I saw this guy kicking. Not scrolling.

MarshaBradyo · 22/10/2019 20:34

So would you cheer then

squeekums · 23/10/2019 02:48

I take it you wouldn’t have stepped in Dapplegrey
Not sure about the PP
If my day was disrupted the way XR did that day, no way would I be stepping in to help. I wouldn't be doing anything but trying to get on with my journey.

Dapplegrey · 23/10/2019 21:28

No I would not get involved in a brawl.
However had I been on my home exhausted after a night shift for a few hours sleep before setting off again for another long night shift I might well have been tempted to cheer.

MarshaBradyo · 23/10/2019 21:39

👍

PreseaCombatir · 23/10/2019 21:53

Hate the term BAME. Essentially means Black people and the other afterthoughts 🙄

MarshaBradyo · 23/10/2019 22:01

It’s a shit term because it sounds shit. But I hadn’t read it that way.

ReanimatedSGB · 24/10/2019 15:13

It looked to me like there were more people trying to prevent that stupid tosser from getting a kicking than actually administering said kicking.

But I've got a really good idea for what XR can do next, with all that money they are trying to scam out of people.
First they need a moderate patch of land. Then a bulk order of these. Then they can reverse their own carbon footprints beautifully...

MarshaBradyo · 24/10/2019 15:45

Yep. People will probably post all sorts online, or this thread will attract that type of comment, but in reality will act differently / decently.

DGRossetti · 24/10/2019 15:47

I don't think they are interested in reversing - or even addressing their own carbon footprint.

Now your carbon footprint, on the other hand ....
