Something terrible happened earlier.

Me and my brother were rowing and he violently attacked me in front of my 6 month old. Luckily, there were 2 other people in the room to drag him off me.

I'm confused and shocked at how he has reacted.

Aibu to ask wwyd?

I also know that if I'd called the police at 15 about it (he would have been in his 20s) I would have been the one in trouble in the family. I suspect this might be the case with the OP as well.

Sending you Flowers op, dreadful situation.

If you let him get away with this he will know that he can get away with more

@Rainbowknickers that’s bloody awful. Just so shocking. Poor you.

@KennDodd I think the hardest thing must be to realize that the family is already broken and abusive. Calling the police won’t make it a drama, it already IS a big drama, however the perpetrator, her brother and yours are shielded by the inaction.

That’s why calling the police so necessary and so powerful. It sheds a big bright light on what is actually happening. Which is probably why it’s so frightening to take this step but such a great relief if OP does.

@conny7
How are you OP? Did you do anything about your brother?
