To ask how you or your DP proposed?

Missing my DP tonight (I worked all day yesterday, he worked all night, I worked all day today and he's in work until 6am then I'm back at work..) so thought I'd get on with some wedding planning.
Wrote my vows, and began reminiscing about how he proposed.

Can I ask how you/your DP proposed? Cheer me up, tell me all

On holiday in New York in Central Park on a horse carriage, got down on one knee :)

He knew I wanted to get engaged. Show him rings a liked etc.
Christmas comes. I left a present which was quite clearly a ring box until last...
I opened in. It was a ring pull from a can! Furious was an understatement!
He then said about tidying up, taking all the presents upstairs which we did. I put a bag of presents down on the bedroom floor, turned around and he was down on one knee.
It was perfect, nothing fancy, just us. Sums him up though as he is a very funny guy and we don’t take stuff to seriously.

I nearly ruined it twice! Went to Edinburgh to the Christmas markets. He was planning to do it in the botanical gardens but I said we wouldn't have enough time to go before our pre booked Edinburgh gin tour so we went for a wander round the markets instead. Went in Princes Street gardens and stood on the railway bridge under the castle. I went to walk off as it was time for the gin tour (can you tell what was on my mind?!) and he shouted me back saying he'd got a question to ask me. Spotted the box in his hand and had whipped my glove off before he'd even asked the question! Then has the biggest grin on my face the rest of the day and didn't take in any information on the gin tour as I was too giddy!
