People raising genderless children should have their children removed from their care!

BillywigSting · 06/10/2019 19:55

Hamsters are terrible first pets.

They are not cute and cuddly.

They are wild rodents with fat cheeks.

bitter voice of experience

jobbinggogger · 06/10/2019 19:58

I hate the way Americans say process. Worse still is when they talk about processing things as if they are computers. I can always tell when they are going to witter in about processing stuff and it makes me cringe and spoils any show for me. I personally like to digest, consider and think about new information presented to me. The result of my digesting might be shock, surprise, disappointment, sadness or even acceptance. All these amazing expressive words reduced to “process”. Ugh.

Mancmomx2 · 06/10/2019 20:01

Extinction Rebellion's campaigns annoy everyday people far more than the government is bothered. ER should all get jobs and stop wasting taxpayer money.

Sagradafamiliar · 06/10/2019 20:02

Cheese is foul. Stinky, weird textured rancid milk. Dirty filth.
Boiled eggs: ditto. They stink! Why eat solidified stench?!
Wine is horrible
Pets are shit
Harry Potter: don't get it. I do not get it.
Hush clothing: what the heck is all that about.

Spoonsmum · 06/10/2019 20:03

@PhilSwagielka love the username

Breaking bad was rubbish
Shawshank Redemption was ‘meh’
Coffee tastes like liquid evil

Facebook is the domain of middle aged woman who tag into places saying they're drinking 'anything alcholic'. Boring.

PatricksRum · 06/10/2019 20:05

chubby toddlers/babies aren’t cute and they should have their diet Watched

This is one of the most ridiculous things. I suggest you look into anatomy further, OP

I always assume people who say this pat themselves on the back almost robustly at how superior they are Grin

HotCrossPun1 · 06/10/2019 20:11

Flavoured gin isn’t gin.

crispysausagerolls · 06/10/2019 20:11

Yes! Agree about the importance of SAHM and housewives!!

Also dislike Beyoncé!

ROSS AND RACHEL WERE ON A BREAK!!!!!!!!!!!!! 😬

OhTheRoses · 06/10/2019 20:12

I like Boden. I admire what Johnnie did. Mind you, I liked it better 15 years ago :)

I sort of like Regina Spektor. There was a brill song "November" on desert island discs this morning Grin.

Oh yea - my dc are ace. They have grown up really nicely.

HappyDinosaur · 06/10/2019 20:14

The Godfather is dull.

Avocados (except as guacamole) and beetroot are awful and sully anything they touch.

Cereal is perfectly fine for breakfast.

Doctor Who should not have been made a woman in the latest series. I just don't think it makes sense for the character. Also, he used to be my dream man (the character, nkt the actors) and that just doesn't work for me now!

Updating old classics such as The Faraway Tree is completely wrong. For example, I think children can cope with the name Dick, changing it to Rick is ridiculous.

SpecialKRocks223 · 06/10/2019 20:14

I judge anyone who calls their child Nevaeh

OhTheRoses · 06/10/2019 20:15

Meant to add that now my dc are grown up I have made it clear that I will not be providing free childcare. I am nearly 60 and have done my bit. Likely to be closer to 70 or more (I hope) when they sprog.

Grumpyperson · 06/10/2019 20:16

I hate it when people say they are "impacting" things. You affect or effect smething, or you have an impact on it. Fighting a losing battle I know.

Same goes for people saying "excited for" when they mean "excited about".

And the so-called genderless baby is obviously a girl in my view.

GrumpyMiddleAgedWoman · 06/10/2019 20:17

When the balance of nature is as fucked as it is in Britain, some species need to be culled to allow others to thrive. (And to get the crops to harvest.)

The effort you fail to put into your child will have a direct impact on their educational attainment. If you don't read with Johnny in the evening as the school asks you to, do not blame the school when he is semi-literate at 11.

Anyone who uses the terms 'fur baby' and 'pet parent' should be sent at once for reeducation, preferably somewhere wet and cold like St Kilda.

SafetyAdvice0FeedWhenAgitated · 06/10/2019 20:19

There should be no female cast movie remakes...

Give us something new! New story, new thing. Just find it insulting that we obviously only deserve a remake of great movie... So it ends up crap(Ghostbusters)

PhilSwagielka · 06/10/2019 20:19

I fucking love Regina Spektor. She's an incredible singer and lyricist, especially when you remember that English is her second language. She projects her voice so well.

Sagradafamiliar · 06/10/2019 20:19

I didn't know you could effect something, person. Just affect.

Grumpyperson · 06/10/2019 20:20

Oh yeah I hate the expression "fur baby" too.

And you nicked my name Grumpy (actually I probably nicked yours) Grin

PhilSwagielka · 06/10/2019 20:20

@Spoonsmum Phil Jagielka was one of my favourite Everton players. Actually, thinking that he was a decent captain is an unpopular opinion.

Grumpyperson · 06/10/2019 20:21

Sagrada, you can effect change, which affects lives, for example.

I think people use impact as a verb because they don't know the difference between effect and affect.

Sagradafamiliar · 06/10/2019 20:23

Really? Every day is a school day! I thought one could make or have an effect on something but not effect it.

GrumpyMiddleAgedWoman · 06/10/2019 20:24

@Grumpyperson, I have been a grumpy old baggage for a good five years, though only admitted it on MN more recently.
