A 6ft2 man saying to a formal (Who is 5'3),
"God. Have you shrunk? '

It's tiresome to frequently have comments about height/weight. Doesn't matter if tall ,short male female slim or large. Comments on ones looks may not always be spiteful but can def get one down.

Op has had one comment Hmm

MrsCasares · 27/09/2019 10:43

I’m 4ft 11. I could write a book about short comments. Ignore.

SerenDippitty · 27/09/2019 10:44

Yes, of course it was rude! Making unflattering personal comments is always rude

It’s only unflattering if you see shortness as a negative thing.

CherryPlum · 27/09/2019 16:11

'Oh my God have you shrunk?!' is rude. It wouldn't be rude if used as a description of someone, e.g.

Question: 'Which one is Laura?'
Reply: 'She's the short one with dark hair, wearing a yellow raincoat"

Isn't OP's situation a moment to banter back with "Neah, you just forgot to stop taking growth hormones. I tried to warn you about that."

Gosh MNers are so uptight.
