No one in peace times has done more for this country. She's kept going despite all the bile she's received.

She would no doubt be better than Boris Johnson or Donald trump!

OP posts:
mooncuplanding · 24/09/2019 16:05

I'd rather she didn't

Justcallmebebes · 24/09/2019 16:10

No she shouldn't

dowehaveastalker · 24/09/2019 16:11

Yeah sure. Then maybe if she doesnt work out we can have Katie Price?

Chloemol · 24/09/2019 16:12

No she shouldn’t. She is only interested in herself, not demoncracy

Turningtides · 24/09/2019 16:13

She is an inspirational woman, that’s for sure. I’m very grateful for what she has achieved. I wish she was in politics, but she seems to be doing an awesome job from the outside. It does make you wonder how we could end up with a deluded buffoon like BJ when there are so many brilliant people in the nation.

obligations · 24/09/2019 17:05

Chloemol 'No she shouldn’t. She is only interested in herself, not demoncracy'

If you mean democracy she has shown herself to be an absolute champion of it, involving the sovereignty of parliament (i.e. democratically elected representatives) rather than the will of the executive. That's the cornerstone of democracy. Try reading today's ruling, it's all explained very very clearly.

“the conduct of government by a Prime Minister and Cabinet collectively responsible and accountable to Parliament lies at
the heart of Westminster democracy”. Ministers are accountable to Parliament through such mechanisms as their duty to answer Parliamentary questions and to appear before Parliamentary committees, and through Parliamentary scrutiny of the
delegated legislation which ministers make. By these means, the policies of the executive are subjected to consideration by the representatives of the electorate, the executive is required to report, explain and defend its actions, and citizens are protected from the arbitrary exercise of executive power."

Biwurlu

She might be "a well rounded individual" but she is self serving.

Why else do you think that this business owner has done this?

BeardedMum · 24/09/2019 17:16

she is amasing in the role she is performing now.

user1473878824 · 24/09/2019 17:17

Hahahahaha

Saddler · 24/09/2019 17:17

This has to be a wind up

DontLikeMyCurtains · 24/09/2019 17:24

Yes, lets throw out the entire electoral process and have Gina Miller. We are halfway there anyway.

Biwurlu · 24/09/2019 17:25

Hang on the states have a reality TV star as their president, ours isn't far off.

But a smart, conscientious and intelligent professional is unthinkable Hmm

OP posts:
obligations · 24/09/2019 17:26

BoneyBackJefferson so people in general aren't self-serving?! How naive.

Breathlessness · 24/09/2019 17:31

She shouldn’t be PM.

She is an absolute fucking star. Twice she has used the courts to challenge the unlawful actions of successive governments. She’s defended Parliamentary democracy. She’s an intelligent woman who knew that stepping forward as A Woman With An Opinion would make her a target of hate and she did it anyway. Twice.

BoneyBackJefferson · 24/09/2019 17:35

I was replying to the OP but thanks for agreeing with my point. Although why it should make me naive, makes me think that you didn't understand my point at all.

Ambassadorforthedog · 24/09/2019 17:35

I agree, with Mark Carney at her right hand side - bring it on

Breathlessness · 24/09/2019 17:37

I think David Cameron should be PM. He made this mess, he should have to deal with it #naturalconsequences

Walkingdeadfangirl · 24/09/2019 17:48

Surely she is a single policy person? Deliver a United States of Europe, do or die. I think we have enough to do stopping Corbyn turning us into Venezuela. The last thing we need is another person trying to sell this country to foreign powers.

Ringdonna · 24/09/2019 17:49

You must be joking.

Tellmetruth4 · 24/09/2019 17:50

She is an inspiration to all. She is extremely smart and hard working and as a non-white woman, I can only imagine the death and rape threats she’s getting.

But no she shouldn’t be PM. We have no idea of her views outside of Brexit plus she’s not even an MP. Nevertheless, I really admire her and would be more than happy for DC to look up to her for her work in this area.

Breathlessness · 24/09/2019 17:50

Maybe you should wean yourself off the Daily Mail. Try just running your hands over a copy of The Daily Telegraph when you feel the cravings ...

derxa · 24/09/2019 18:07

No

JoxerGoesToStuttgart · 24/09/2019 18:18

She would no doubt be better than Boris Johnson or Donald trump!

BJ and Trump aren't and are just self serving.

You think BJ and Trump are better

Umm, Donald trump has not, is not and never will be prime minister.

You seem confused.

LayLar360 · 24/09/2019 18:24

It saddens me that so many Leave voters, like @Walkingdeadfangirl, seem to be happy for the government to throw out the law, and the foundations of our constitution, in order to have Brexit affected as quickly as possible.

You'd hope that everyone would want to maintain concepts like the rule of law and parliamentary sovereignty. What exactly do these people want to turn our country into?

I'd rather we didn't Leave at all but, if we're going to, we need to preserve the fundamentals of our country, not rip them up for the sake of expedience.

Yabbadabbo2 · 24/09/2019 18:30

Suppose if she lost a GE she'd just ask for it to be carried out again.
