AIBU to be a little peed off with nursery (pic attached)

Had to sign an accident form tonight as my 1yo took a scratch to the face which drew blood at the top of his ear, where one of the nursery staff accidentally caught him with her nail. Her nails are really long, false and pointy. AIBU to think these are inappropriate in this job!?

Why should you move if someone just needs to make an adaptation for their job?

I would be absolutely seething of someone did that to my child knowing they're not allowed false nails!

In my job I have to keep my nails short and not allowed coloured nail polish. YADNBU

Speak to the manager, she’s scratched him with plastic.

I can't believe someone who looks after small children would think those sort of nails are a good idea, I hope she was mortified that she did that to your child, that nursery sounds awful to me.

Accidents do happen, but I imagine nail related accidents are far more likely if you have really long nails. I’d love to have longer nails but they just aren’t practical working with small children and babies so I keep them short. You should raise this as an issue op.

As a similar, when I got engaged I was really aware of what type of ring I had. I tried on a beautiful diamond ring, but the setting was quite tall and completely impractical so I discounted it. I didn’t want to risk catching the babies with it, so I had a different (smaller) setting that was less risky.
