Crisps in the fridge

My DH has just told me that he was listening to the radio the other morning and apparently there was a debate raging on Twitter about keeping your crisps in the fridge. He said that it was about 50/50 in the end. Surely not?

Please Mumsnet, back me up here that this is a travesty.

What’s your AIBU question, though? I don’t know which button to press because I don’t know your question.

Obviously it’s WRONG and I would not be responsible for my actions if anyone put my crisps in the fridge.

AIBU to say that this is madness?

We need to clarify this voting system. I often get the question confused and therefore vote wrongly.

They keep really well in the fridge and don't go stale

Runs and hides

Rather than the fridge, Aldi I believe had this little gadget that reseals bags and it works pretty well.

What's wrong with keeping tomatoes in the fridge though?

Ha, highheelsandbobblehats, chocolate was kept in the fridge in the shop and in homes in my Australian. childhood in the days when nothing was air-conditioned!

Terminal things happen to a bar of chocolate when room temp goes over 35°

UK chocolate Christmas tree decorations were a revelation!

Keeping tomatoes in the fridge is bad for flavour, texture and I believe possibly nutrient content too.

The freshness thing re fridge crisps baffles me. I’ve never had issues with crisps not staying fresh while in a sealed bag Confused
