to think Little Britain wouldn't be allowed today

Just came across some old Little Britain clips on Youtube. I'm really shocked! The amount of racism, disablist and sexist stuff. It was only back in 2007 I think that the filming ended so it wasn't that long ago at all! There is no way this would be allowed on tv now, surely?!

@HeadLikeAFuckinOrange, utterly utterly envious of you. I would have loved to have seen them live. That whole convoluted cock up in the first one still makes me cry laughing.

I definitely miss Smack the Pony, Black Books and Green Wing.

It would totally still be allowed, wtf. I mean, The League Of Gentlemen isn't exactly PC either and it had that Christmas special recently with Babs AND Papa Lazarou in it.

I never found it funny though. I'm more into stuff like Black Books and The Young Ones.

Thought the same, some of it made me uncomfortable at the time too. Men behaving badly has aged really badly and it was huge at the time.

Also, The Thick Of It is relatively recent, so yes, you could 'get away with it' today.

Brass Eye was genius. It was the Daily Mail types who got upset about it, especially Paedogeddon, and completely missed the point.

@ZootSuit Rock Profiles was hilarious. The one with Shirley Bassey and Tom Jones was one of my faves.

If anyone fancies a Shelley rewatch and can get Forces TV they have just started it from the beginning again.
