To want to go to New York by myself between Christmas and new year ?

It’s a dream of mine. I can afford it. I do everything for my family but it seems it’s not enough !

How did your teens hate NY?

I was wondering that too. How is this possible? My DC adored it.

The only surprise to me now is we’re having Xmas at home this year and I’m pissed off now, two years break from all that Xmas consists of has allowed me to see how fucking ridiculous Xmas is when you have no 0-10 age kids in the house who believe, I’ll be trying to get away over the Xmas period for the foreseeable once this ones over

We’ve gone away every year except 2 since DD was born (now 9). She’s never “believed” in Santa and loves our winter breaks. Sometimes sunny, sometimes snowy, always about presence and not presents.

Go, I've been twice but with a friend each time. You will be fine on your own just book a decent place to stay. One place we booked was just a bed and we were in room sharing with strange men which frankly was a bit much.
