to think that 2nd hand Vape smoke is worse than cigarette smoke

Aibu that vape smoke clouds have become more pungent and more dense in recent times. I was just walking down the road and had no choice but to breathe this sweet smelling nicotine in. The cloud was enormous and stayed around for sometime. AIBU to feel as though it's actually more annoying than cigarette smoke.

Now go and run the same thought process on transdermal patches... start with the adhesive...

... and then consider the severity, the type of reaction etc.

Pick ANY other irritant and compare and contrast, using UK data.

But don't try to consign vaping to the Nasty List without understanding what it is you are complaining about!

Some people have to have something to bitch about and as there are fewer smokers now and Summer's turning into Autumn they don't have neighbours having BBQs to grouse about so it's the turn of the vapers.

It’s not going to be more dangerous (but then again second hand smoke isn’t as dangerous as people think it is either). But definitely more annoying looks horrible, smells worse and most irritatingly of all it’s compketely avoidable. You don’t need to have massive clouds of vapour to vape. I don’t understand why people do it.

There are some that I don't mind the smell of at all. (Spearmint is quite nice). But someone near where I work is heavily into a particularly cloying Vanilla and some kind of Tutti Fruity concoction. When I leave work some days it smells like someone's been trying to vaporise a branch of Lush.

I think I do prefer the smell of smoke.

And what percentage of non-vapers?

PG is in all sorts of foods, cosmetics, toiletries ... you'll have been consuming it for years without noticing. It's used in those fogging machines they use in clubs, which some people are sensitive to - so find out how many people are sensitive to fogging machines and you have your answer.

The good news is that the vapers making Big Clouds will not generally be vaping PG, they'll be vaping vegetable glycerine Smile

I always really enjoy seeing your logical factual information on a vaping thread PencilsInSpace. Smile

Thank you Haunted. It's like 2014 all over again!

This is interesting on glycol fog machines:

They can cause a bit of a dry throat with heavy or prolonged use which can be a problem for susceptible opera singers. However - This effect may also have a psychological component in addition to a physiological one.
