To think that Double Deckers gave no place in a box of Heroes?

Twooter · 08/09/2019 08:29

Love Heroes - have always eaten the whole box, unlike Celebrations where Snickers and Bounty are always left. But I was given a box yesterday and it had 6 mini double Deckers in it. Nobody in my family likes Double Deckers. What are Cadbury’s playing at?

In the olden days they used to have Fuses.

RagamuffinCat · 08/09/2019 12:45

Oh no! All the sweets in them used to be gluten free, so I bought them. Will stick to quality street this year then

BananasAreTheSourceOfEvil · 08/09/2019 12:47

Ah the halcyon days where there were fuses in heroes...

I wish they’d do a poll as to what sweets people actually wanted in a tub of heroes/celebrations. Then you wouldn’t be saddled with the shit ones.

Yes, eclairs and bounty- I’m looking at you. ☠️

ThePolishWombat · 08/09/2019 12:47

YABU.
Double Deckers belong everywhere.
They are top tier, sent-from-heaven calibre of chocolate bar!!

SisterSistine · 08/09/2019 12:48

Eclairs need to go because THEY ARE NOT A SODDING CHOCOLATE BAR.

Rose789 · 08/09/2019 12:49

My neighbour just bought me a bag of hero’s. I’ve ate all the eclairs, then I ate the dinky deckers. The rest are just in the cupboard and I don’t really care if dp or the kids eat them. I’m not sharing the eclairs or double deckers though- they are the best!!!

Twooter · 08/09/2019 13:23

Just tried a DD after reading all the comments. I’m sorry but they’ve got that horrible fake taste that you get with the protein Mars bars.

GatoFofo · 08/09/2019 13:29

Omg, you are clearly being VVV unreasonable, double deckers in Heroes? WHY DID I NOT KNOW THIS?

I need to buy them. All.

MillieMoodle · 08/09/2019 14:15

@littlepeas there are young 'uns at my work who hadn't even HEARD of Double Deckers until I educated them. TWO OF THEM! How can you reach the age of 25 and not know what they are?!

They should include mini Boost too!

^YES! THIS!

What fresh hell is this!

TantricTwist · 08/09/2019 14:40

Double deckers and snickers. Yummy.

Bumbags · 08/09/2019 15:52

I wish you could create your own selection.

I would choose

Wispa
Bounty
Crunchie
Reeses
Dairy milk

HermioneWeasley · 08/09/2019 15:59

Double deckers and snickers are the best

I assume eclairs are in there in vast quantities because they’re cheap. I’d rather have fewer and have ones I actually want

Wiltshirelass2019 · 08/09/2019 16:23

Double deckers are my favourite

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 08/09/2019 16:24

I like them! I miss Texan bars (a man’s gotta chew what a man’s gotta chew...)

Wiltshirelass2019 · 08/09/2019 16:37

I like starsbars too

HelenaDove · 08/09/2019 16:37

I also remember the white chocolate Dream being in the Heroes And Picnic was in there too. Up until three years ago i had an old Heroes box that housed a Christmas ornament.

StillCoughingandLaughing · 09/09/2019 00:40

I miss the mini Picnics. The bizarre thing is, Cadbury makes Picnic Bites anyway - why not just individually wrap a few of those and bung them in?

Question - did Heroes ever include Bournville, or was that just Roses (which used to include tiny bars)?

HelenaDove · 09/09/2019 00:58

Im sure that was just Roses,

HelenaDove · 09/09/2019 01:04

I stand corrected.

Last Christmas i bought Roses for the first time in years because they had a coffee chocolate again (though its now in milk choc rather than dark) and there were only two of them in the entire tub. Same with the tub DM bought so it wasnt a fluke.

MRex · 09/09/2019 07:18

Well, at least we don't get "Marvellous Creations Jelly Popping Candy Beans", whatever those might be.
