Because I want to redecorate.

I keep going through all the colours in my head and don’t like the idea of any of them at the moment! The only one I kind of like is dusky pink but DH has vetoed.

What colour is everyone’s bedrooms?

Cream and shades of green

Snugglepumpkin · 05/09/2019 12:31

Very pale amethyst, a very pale grey that looks white under natural light but shows up pale grey in artificial light & white.

PollyRoe16 · 05/09/2019 12:31

Farrow and ball Downpipe - a very dark grey and I love it!

Biancadelrioisback · 05/09/2019 12:32

I say it's very, very pale lilac but DH thinks it's grey.

Flynnshine · 05/09/2019 12:33

White furniture, white walls, grey carpet, grey and yellow accessories with a 'floating' pine coloured headboard.
It's quite contemporary. I had to fight for the yellow to make it look less like a hospital room!

Thehagonthehill · 05/09/2019 12:33

Shit brown.Weve been here 3 years and I've painted a big white square on one wall and decided it w didn't work(North facing) but can't decide what colour.

DingDongDenny · 05/09/2019 12:42

We've just painted ours and went for Farrow and Ball Borrowed Light. It's a beautiful blue with hints of grey and green, really restful

PoppingOneOutIn2020 · 05/09/2019 12:44

It was magnolia when we bought the house.. then I decided I wanted a nice relaxing blue colour.. bought it, didnt bother with a tester.. painted one wall and saw how dark it was drying.

Now I have 3 magnolia walls and one weirdly crazy blue colour that does not scream bedtime.

megletthesecond · 05/09/2019 12:45

White.

TheWernethWife · 05/09/2019 12:45

Dulux Timeless with cream carpet and oak bed. I have about 10 sets of duvet covers all in different colours and patterns so nice plain walls works a treat.

jesuschristwtf · 05/09/2019 12:46

Lambs wool

Poppins2016 · 05/09/2019 12:47

'Cornflower White' by Dulux. It's a very pale cool blue and I feel as though it's a great 'neutral' without being white/beige/grey!

Moraxella · 05/09/2019 12:48

@Thehagonthehill Dulux do a white called "white cotton" which works well in north facing rooms. Is a muted white with a tiny hint of grey in, which doesn't look as depressing or stark as brilliant white does.

ElektraUnchained · 05/09/2019 12:48

Pale, buttercup yellow walls with this wallpaper on the big wall where the headboard is. The room is a little dark so this brightens it up beautifully.

Currently a sort of natural linen colour but about to be various shades of white. Will be a nightmare to keep clean but will look lovely (for ten minutes)

Poppins2016 · 05/09/2019 12:54

@Thehagonthehill Have a look at the Dulux 'light and space' range.
I have a north facing spare room and have gone for 'Frosted Dawn' (a cream 'off white') from that range; it's designed to 'help dark rooms feel brighter' and I'd say it works!

Makesmilingyourbesthobby · 05/09/2019 12:55

White furniture, White & Blush pink with hints of Copper 😊

Croquembou · 05/09/2019 13:03

Indigo pure original lime paint - lots of hilarious Dad jokes about when we're going to give it a second coat. I love it, it's so dark, like a little cave.

RubaDubMum89 · 05/09/2019 13:04

A really pale lilac with a white wall in there too

steff13 · 05/09/2019 13:07

I'd call it blue. Valspar calls it "Cincinnatian Hotel Ashley Atrium."

Very large wall in a kind of beetroot colour (Dulux Ruby Starlet) with pale ivory on the other walls light ivory/wood furnishings, with muted shades of mushroom/small amount of pale dusky pink, on a huge Indian rug which has all the same colours in

Absolutely love it as its a very big room it can take the strong colours, its very warm.

Im not a one for matching bed sets so bought 3 in the above shades all different texture but no patterns and mix them all up.

Whatsitlike · 05/09/2019 13:11

oh just painting a spare room next week and it will be a mix of pale ivory (not magnolia) with dulux buttermilk, to go with black /silver (more dark grey)/gold curtains and a pale grey headboard. Will really change the whole room.

I like experimenting with colour!

EleanorAbernathy · 05/09/2019 13:13
