There’s a dead fly in a bathroom light fitting - should I expect my cleaner to remove it?

Talk to your cleaner, don't be arsey about her.
I don't ask my cleaner to empty my bins, but she would do it if asked.
Just ask nicely...She is not telepathic or a mind reader so ask her to do the bin emptying.
Get someone in to do the light fitting it's not a cleaner's job to be unscrewing light fittings especially in bathrooms. The are notoriously fiddlely for someone who does not know how to do it.

The effort it’s taken to stew about it, take photos, post on here is far more than it would’ve taken for you to just do it yourself.

Of course a cleaner doesn't take light fittings apart.
And whether you want bins emptying should have been part of the initial discussions about what you needed when you employed her. Some people would rather not waste plastic liners by having bins emptied when they're not full, for instance.

Shes a cleaner not a maintenance person. I would walk out if I was asked to do that. What next ? peel the potatoes? . ITs a slave your after.
And if it`s that simple DO IT YOURSELF.

As I am a cleaner. I wouldn’t touch it. That’s a loaded gun. There is every chance that it could break and I’m not be held responsible for that.
