To think this is okay? Holiday Park related

My parents are currently staying at a caravan park near Scarborough. I dropped them off on Monday and will be picking them up on Friday. We were initially told that check out was at 12 however when we got to the site it's actually 10am.

It's about 90 miles one way to pick them up and I'm worried that I won't get to the site on time. Mam has suggested I drive down on Thursday night and sleep in the van with them. I think this sounds like a good idea rather than risking traffic (I got stuck for ages on the a171 behind a lorry on the way back due to the road conditions meaning it was impossible to overtake!) it took me four and a half hours to get home. I really don't want to get caught in traffic because they need help to pack up (so couldn't check out by themselves then we meet later on the site.)

I mentioned this to my friend who normally house sits for me and she thinks I'm being unreasonable and that the van is just for my parents and I'm being unethical by staying for one night.

What do you think?

Ask for a caravan not so far away from the facilities?

Totally can’t see your friend’s issue here.

It won't matter at all.

However, if you don't want to stay over and are happier driving down on the day, does the park not have an entertainment venue of some sort where you can get breakfasts, coffees etc to wait around in? When we go on a caravan holiday, check out is at 10am but we don't end up leaving the actual park (after handing out keys in) until after lunch because we let the kids have one last blast in the entertainment complex while DH and I have a big breakfast there.
Luggage can be left in the park reception or taken into breakfast with us.

I'm glad I did because this morning was a bit stressful. Dad is a full on faffer and was driving me mental messing about with stuff that didn't matter! Was about 9:55 when I handed the key in.

We've been exploring Scarborough and are heading home very shortly.

You pay for the caravan not per person. You won't be able to use facilities that need an entertain pass that's it. We had a 3bedroom caravan this year with just two of us. My daughter and her partner came for the night l checked with park. They had no probs. We ate and drank at the bar they made more money than if it had been just us two. Just go and stay the night
