ok so he's only 13 months and doesn't really understand and probably isn't going to pick up a word and start saying it after hearing it once but it really annoyed me. imo they are in my garden they should have respect and not swear. if they want to swear elsewhere fine but not when they are on a job and there are children about. in fact imo whether there are children about or not it is a bit unprofessional to be saying to your work mate "of f*ck off will you"

It's reasonable not to want them turning up and swearing at your house, but I wouldn't want to be the one to try and stop them!

Just go out there with a round of teas and say, can you stop fucking swearing please?

Doesn't matter what age your dcs are, if you don't like ask them to keep their swearing in their home not yours.

TBH, most guys I know would be mortified if you asked them nicely not to swear and would happily oblige.

Defo take them a cuppa and just point out that you would prefer them not to swear in front of you son. If you do it in a friendly, non-confrontational manner they will be fine.
