ok so he's only 13 months and doesn't really understand and probably isn't going to pick up a word and start saying it after hearing it once but it really annoyed me. imo they are in my garden they should have respect and not swear. if they want to swear elsewhere fine but not when they are on a job and there are children about. in fact imo whether there are children about or not it is a bit unprofessional to be saying to your work mate "of f*ck off will you"

I have told off some young guys on a bus once for swearing in front of my kids, but they (my kids not the swearers) were old enough to talk and repeat words heard on buses.

I don't think i would say anything if it was a one off swearword in front of a 13mth old.

If they can't say a fucking sentence without fucking swearing, then I would be fucking pissed off and fucking tell them that. Without tea.

What Wilkie said. Make a joke of it when you take the tea out - 'My son will pick up swaear words, you know!'- and hope they get the message. You are defo NBU. you should be able to have your son in a swearing-free environment, especially if it's your own home.

How about saying "I won't burp and fart, if you don't swear!"

just open the window and say "language Timothy" in a shrill voice

I have no idea what tv programme this is from but it proves I am old at any rate

yanbu at all.

disrepectful to do it in front of you too.

Tell them or provide lukewarm tea and when they mention they dont like it tell them you'll come to an agreement they dont swear and you will provide a kettle
