Now anyone from the West Coast of Scotland is probably going to get this but the rest might struggle. I have twins - I could have had them anywhere between Paisley and Glasgow - anyone know what I mean?

So, should you have jumped off at Paisley so you won't of had twins? Wink

Babyiwantabump · 31/08/2019 22:21

Is this when you have two children within a year and they are something twins 🤷🏻‍♀️

Sazquatch · 31/08/2019 22:21

Eh?

Babyiwantabump · 31/08/2019 22:23

Oh no that’s Irish twins sorry

Atalune · 31/08/2019 22:27

Well the only thing I can think of is that you were heading to Glasgow central and someone forgot to jump off at Paisley? Grin

simplyhaving · 31/08/2019 22:29

Paisley just sort of merges into Glasgow doesn’t it? Is there anything in between?

Atalune · 31/08/2019 22:29

This would be at the baby making stage? And I’m very sorry to say it, but in the interest of clarity....it’s a poor sectarian joke about catholic brith control.

OldGranvilleHouse · 31/08/2019 22:29

I live close to both Paisley and Glasgow and have no idea what you’re talking about Smile

Hillington, let me count the ways... Flowers

The only jokes of that nature I've heard involve Gourock and a boat, or, for the more easterly, Haymarket and a train.

Stompythedinosaur · 31/08/2019 22:36

No idea, why not enlighten us?

I’m still confused. Can someone please explain it so I can go to bed? Grin

BikeRunSki · 31/08/2019 22:41

.

Atalune · 31/08/2019 22:41

Ok. If you’re from the west coast then you get the Ayr train to Glasgow central, the penultimate stop is Paisley.

So if you’re having sex and are not using birth control, such as condoms or the pill. Then your partner would “jump off at Paisley” meaning they would not ejaculate inside.

Sorry- it’s gross!

Atalune · 31/08/2019 22:42

butchy
I don’t know the gourock thing though!?

OhioOhioOhio · 31/08/2019 22:46

No idea

OldGranvilleHouse · 31/08/2019 22:47

@Atalune

Thanks for the explanation. Like you say, it’s gross 🤮

SpuriouserAndSpuriouser · 31/08/2019 22:47

Thanks for explaining Atalune! I can rest easy now Grin

Butchyrestingface · 31/08/2019 22:48

Getting off the boat before Gourock = Getting off the train before Haymarket.

I have never heard of getting off the train before Paisley. Doesn't have the same ring to it. **

R44Me · 31/08/2019 22:48

Something to do with the airport??

SpuriouserAndSpuriouser · 31/08/2019 22:56

So for my neck of the woods it would be something like getting off the tube before Cockfosters... not sure that’ll catch on tbh

huntinghighandlow · 31/08/2019 23:00

If you get the train to Liverpool, the penultimate stop is Edge Hill. There is a scaffolding firm at the station before that called Climax. They have this big sign that you can see from the platform that says 'why jump off at edge hill when there's a climax at broadgreen' I was well into my 30s before I got it!

Atalune · 31/08/2019 23:03

Ha ha ‘@Butchyrestingface!

So the twins part isn't actually relevant if its the baby making explanation? Could easily be a singleton and still make sense
