Birthday. What present is reasonable to ask for? Not lighthearted. Very grabby.

DH wants to know what I want for my birthday. I normally say "nothing" and I get a cheque for £30 which is very nice but I would like a present this time. What's the best present you've been given? Doesn't need to be massively expensive but you can see he's thinking plus or minus £30.

I got an alpaca sponsorship. It made me cry I was that pleased. AND we got to visit him 😍

Agree that he has to put some thought and effort in himself, otherwise it's not a present.

I know I'm hard to buy for because I don't want much and I just like to research the things I want and then look for the best price and get it when I want, not wait for Christmas, birthday etc. Or if I want clothes, perfume etc, it needs to be of my choosing, trying on etc.

My standard list for DP is gin or anything from Hotel Chocolat, so he still goes out to pick something and I know I will like what he picks.

@Duck90 I also pay any cheques I get into my bank account via the Post Office. They accept most banks. I tend to use the mobile app now for my bank but the Post Office was more convenient for me than trudging to a bank.

Great suggestions. I would like a voucher for afternoon tea for two so I could take a friend for a catch up treat.

Love the animal sponsorship idea OP!

I buy my husband a bear sponsorship every year as he loves them.
