I got lots of fantastic tips on academic work which spurred me on to finish the essay I have been procrastinating over for the past 3 months!

BrutusMcDogface · 27/08/2019 08:47

“Darker on” and “spider willies” is just abso-fucking-lutely RIDICULOUS, and my mind really boggles that grown women actually believe in this (you do, don’t you? Or are you joking? If the latter, why would you bring washing in that’s still wet because of the dark? Hmm)

I’ve learnt loads of stuff about relationships from mn. Lots of things that have helped me to be more assertive with my lazy dp.

BrutusMcDogface · 27/08/2019 08:48

*darked on, I mean. Even autocorrect doesn’t know what it is.

Hoodiesallsummer · 27/08/2019 08:49

I’m off to wash my towels (been at least a couple of weeks.)

Thethingswedoforlove · 27/08/2019 08:52

I bought a range of household and personal cleaning products from Splosh. In an attempt to reduce household plastic waster further. And shared it on Facebook and at least two others have followed suit. I heard about spolsh from some plastic reduction threads.

Thethingswedoforlove · 27/08/2019 08:52

Reduce plastic waste not plastic waster

onlyconnect · 27/08/2019 08:56

The best thing I've done is comb through my hair in the shower with the conditioner on. Really changes the texture for the better.

I've bought loads of stuff too, mainly clothes.

underthebridgedowntown · 27/08/2019 09:01

@BrutusMcDogface I believe you'll find a thread in Classics about not leaving washing out at night because it will get darked on. It's a massive pisstake. Fear not, there aren't a whole load of idiots out there.

Although I am scared of spider willies Wink

Lumene · 27/08/2019 12:00

Ooh Splosh looks good. Does anyone have a referral code?

SmiledWithTheRisingSun · 27/08/2019 12:27

Fabric softener if the thing that blocks up wash machines & makes them break down.

It leaves chemicals all over your clothes that are absorbed by you / your kids.

It's in wasteful plastic bottles.

MadameJosephine · 27/08/2019 16:52

I’ve just had a spa day. I got a voucher for my birthday a few months ago and this has been my first chance to use it. I’m at Slaley Hall in Northumberland and it’s been lovely. I got here about 10, did a few lengths of the pool, read my book, repeated the cycle a few times. Had a lovely lunch in the sunshine with a virgin mojito and then had what they described as a ‘holistic body experience’ which was basically 90 minutes of pure bliss 🥰

BrutusMcDogface · 27/08/2019 20:57

Ha! Well I thought it must be a joke....but people seem so CONVINCED......

I’ll get my coat! Grin

TolstoyAteMyHamster · 27/08/2019 21:04

Order a pair of Treads school shoes for DS. Fingers crossed they fit.

IAmALazyArse · 27/08/2019 21:08

I gave my husband few extra hugs. Blush

ZiggyB · 27/08/2019 21:10

Brutus Grin 🕷

Socksontheradiator · 27/08/2019 21:15

I listened to the AIBU podcast today and literally cried laughing.
I also hung used but unwashed towels out on my washing line.
Brought them in before the spiders came along with their willies Grin

LokiLocks · 27/08/2019 22:11

Started the Tidy Mum method this morning and feeling optimistic about it.
Anyone have the link to @SeaSidePebbles thread as that's something I could definitely do with right now too.

Thankyouplease · 27/08/2019 22:41

Switched to soap from shower gel. I just feel so much cleaner using soap

Thethingswedoforlove · 27/08/2019 22:45

ShinyMe · 27/08/2019 22:46

That's interesting about fabric softener. I hadn't read anything on here at all, but coincidentally have stopped using it recently after a bottle ran out and I just forgot to buy more. Noticed no difference at all in my clothes, so now cracking on without it.

Lumene · 27/08/2019 23:50

Thank you thethings

RosesAndRaindrops · 28/08/2019 00:23

I've purposely left my washing out overnight to get darked on as I ain't scared of any spider willies Grin
no seriously my washing is hanging out there right now and I don't give a shit lol
