AIBU to think that after 20 years married my wife is only with me for one thing?

Looking back through WhatsApp, every morning it's the same!!

(Lighthearted btw!! Smile)

To think she is only with me for one thing?

LTB!
You must make good tea 😂

PooWillyBumBum · 22/08/2019 09:04

My in laws have been married for over 30 years and FIL still brings MIL tea every morning. He was a SAHP (but rubbish at housework!) so she jokingly calls him the worlds most expensive tea maker.

NotSorry · 22/08/2019 09:06

I would do this except DH never checks his messages so I just resort to shouting down the stairs 😂😂

TheVanguardSix · 22/08/2019 09:09

You’re a ‘mug’, OP.
I’d make like tea and leave.

catmumof1 · 22/08/2019 09:11

DH making me coffee every morning was in our wedding vows!

My DH and I have been together much longer than 20 years and lead fairly independent lives but the one thing we always stick by is that the first one up always makes the other their preferred beverage. It’s part of our shared language of love.

That being said if DH’s language included the phrase ‘having a slash’ or he felt the need to text me details of his lavatory arrangements I think it would be over for us.

GenuineKlatchianPottery · 22/08/2019 09:29

My grandparents married at 16 and had 40 years together before Grandad died.
He took her a cup of tea in bed every morning and left her shoes polished every day before he went to work.
Grandma was an avid crocheter and used to buy huge skiens of wool from the local market, Grandad would sit on the floor in front of her holding the wool for her while she wound it into balls. He always joked he was in his rightful place, knelt at her feet Smile.
Their’s was the happiest marriage I’ve ever known.

billy1966 · 22/08/2019 09:35

Oh you better believe it OP!

I adore my large cup of a double pod with hot milk that DH makes to perfection for me when he is here.

Nothing nicer than someone making something for you that you enjoy.

Love is the little gestures for me, always has been.

Span1elsRock · 22/08/2019 09:36

I make DH a cup of tea every morning as I'm up first. And he always says thank you.

But he makes the tea on a Sunday.

It's the law Grin

I must admit I'm only with my husband for one attribute. But even he can't open every jar Grin

cheeseismyspiritanimal · 22/08/2019 09:55

DH makes me coffee every morning and it's my favourite thing he does for me. I think it's nice knowing someone's thought about me first thing.

Dagnabit · 22/08/2019 10:05

DH makes me a cup of tea every morning - I'm not a morning person! On the very rare occasion he's ill or I'm up first, I'll make him one which is generally greeted with a shocked face Grin

AryaStarkWolf · 22/08/2019 10:10

Cute

Aus84 · 22/08/2019 10:14

You're doing something wrong if she keeps having to ask. You're supposed to be able to read her mind by now.

Jayaywhynot · 22/08/2019 10:14

I love this, not sure if I love you or her more!

Biancadelrioisback · 22/08/2019 10:15

My grandad used the say the reason he and my grandma made it to 70th wedding anniversary was because she made the best cups of tea.

treeplop · 22/08/2019 10:18

My DH didn't make me a coffee this morning, should I LTB?

Boswellisdead · 22/08/2019 10:21

@treeplop ogod, you need to log that with 101!!

DinosaursWouldEatYou · 22/08/2019 10:29

Oh gosh this is what I do to my partner 😊 bless him, he makes me a coffee almost every morning.... spose I should start returning the favour 😀

Blondebakingmumma · 22/08/2019 10:39

Naaawww that’s so lovely

Homebird8 · 22/08/2019 11:08

DH sleeps in the spare room because of the snoring but this is a typical morning exchange. I do like my lovely cup of tea.

To think she is only with me for one thing?
Diagonalli · 22/08/2019 11:17

OH brings me a lovely coffee in bed every morning, although I never have to ask Brew
