To have a massive the after effects of my horrendous pregnancy?

And I'm not even pregnant anymore!
I had a HORRIBLE pregnancy 2 years ago and I'm still not over it. I felt nauseous 24/7 and threw up most days throughout the 9 months. Surprisingly due to a horrible diet of only being able to keep down carbs and coke,I gained weight massively going from a size 8 to a size 16. (FINALLY managed to come down to a size14). Due to putting on so much weight so quick,I am left with so many stretch marks,it's hard to find a meter square of skin without any. I couldn't brush my teeth most days because sticking a toothbrush in my mouth made me even more nauseous and the result of it is a lot of gum/decay problems today. I had horrible pelvic problems while pregnant which is still f*cking ongoing! I can't sleep on my side without something between my legs.
Oh I forgot to mention due to being the weight I was and not being able to leave my bed most days because of horrible effing nausea the moment I even sit up, I left a dent in my mattress!!
Now I have a 15kg toddler who wants to hang by my hip most days and Its really not helping my bad back and pelvic problem. I have lost any sense of self confidence and self love. I love my little girl though. Only good thing that came out of this big fat nightmare. Thank you for reading MN.
Please feel free to share some of your experiences so I don't feel as lonely in my misery.Sad

@blackpinkinyourarea oh every pregnancy and birth is different! You never know what awaits you and having that little baby after 9 months is so rewarding. Like I said in my OP I absolutely adore my girl and wouldn't change her for anything in the world. Just don't think I am personally gonna go through it again. Hope your TTC journey goes great!

@Mynotsolittlemonkey Oh you never know!! There are, as a PP mentioned, quite a few women who do not go through these experiences. Things might get better a lot faster for you. Oh and a good hair multivitamin and argan oil helped my hair loss massively!
My own vagina was in a bad state after birth but 2 years on almost and Its A LOT better now.

Andrew Cotton is amazing www.fulhamosteopaths.co.uk/osteopathy/our_osteopaths/andrew/
He is great with issues pregnancy causes, and in general. He was recommended to me by another osteopath and I went to see him. He's brilliant.

Thank you for this thread I've always been made to feel bad about complaining about pregnancy but jeez just pregnancy alone can fuck you up.

I had the nausea, felt like I had a permanent hangover & the only time I felt better was eating beige food & also got addicted to coke even though I hardly drank it before. Had to have drips for dehydration.
Couldn't brush my teeth for months after as I would gag. Surprisingly birth was ok & no real after effects except some extra weight although I sweated loads for months & lost loads of hair.
DC2 has ruined me, polyhydramios so have separated stomach muscles & thin crepey stretchmarked skin above my belly button! Feet are wider. Also was hospitalised with pneumonia & severe anemia while 8 months pregnant so that mucked up my immune system for a year. Had an elective CS & I have a bloody shelf & lower back that clicks now.

But my children are the most wonderful thing in the world so I try to focus on that. On the bad days I google tummy tucks & binge eat 😆

20 years on, my tiger stripes are silver rather than red, an osteopath sorted my back (triplet pregnancy) and I take daily medication which has sorted my bladder issues. I still have a c-section overhang, but I don't care anymore. Still some numbness around my scar. Don't just accept these things as just part and parcel. There's lots that can be done to help most of your conditions, you might just have to push.

I hope it is working for you! Smile
