To put baby in nursery when I’m not at work?

DD is 13 months and currently goes to nursery 3 days a week 8-5.

I have some time owed so have an extra day off coming up.

Would I be unreasonable to still put DD in nursery and get my nails done, watch tv and take a nap instead of spending an extra day with her? I love our time together but she is absolutely exhausting and I feel like I need a break.

Mum guilt is creeping in.

Does anyone else do this?

I would. Once in a blue moon to have time for your self will be great. Have your hair done too. Enjoy. 😁

Of course you should do it, I was a SAHM yet my DS went to a child minder one morning a week, went to the crèche at the gym and started pre-school nursery at 2, as an only child he loved mixing with other children and adults and he had the opportunity to try about all sorts of new experiences that he could never have done with just DH & I. He also used to do loads of holiday clubs and camps during the school holidays. He's now 18 & off to uni and is independent and sociable, it clearly didn't do him any harm and maybe I was lucky as I have never felt any 'mum guilt' about not being with him all the timeConfused and am certainly not worried or anxious about him leaving home Grin.

I sometimes book a day off work specifically on a day the dc are in nursery!
