My Mam showed me this Smile

Tyersal · 15/08/2019 20:19

I am another proud owner of the pizza scissors pictured above

Iggi999 · 15/08/2019 20:20

I have special pizza scissors.

Cotonshaded · 15/08/2019 20:21

I've always done this since I saw a pizza seller do it in Rome on holiday- had never thought of it before, it's so much easier!

NoIDontWatchLoveIsland · 15/08/2019 20:22

Have done this for years. Best approach. Proceed, OP.

But give us some nice food porn, where's the picture of your descrumptious pizza?

Mother87 · 15/08/2019 20:22

Always done this - tis the only way - also sausages/herbs/certain veg - anything snippableGrin

LaurieMarlow · 15/08/2019 20:23

DH introduced me to this. It's a game changer. I'd never go back.

Mother87 · 15/08/2019 20:23

Was also on Radio 4 once with this suggestion showing off uneccesarilyGrin

Figroll16 · 15/08/2019 20:25

Scissors all the way! Those pizza cutters just get stuck and make a mess

icecreamsundae32 · 15/08/2019 20:27

Woah never heard of this before! Def going to try it. I do cut meat with scissors - I have special ones for this but have always used a pizza wheel on a wooden bread board.

RosesAndRaindrops · 15/08/2019 20:27

Nope, I'm a pizza wheel person all the way Grin

blahblahblahblahhh · 15/08/2019 20:28

Yep I do this - way easier

SpeedyShutter · 15/08/2019 20:30

I use the kitchen scissors too. It's so much easier and they're easier to clean than the pizza wheel.

LittleAndOften · 15/08/2019 20:30

Scissors are great for so many things in the kitchen - pizza, chicken, bacon, sausages, spring onions, herbs, dicing up leftover roast meat. But I have separate scissors for food and paper. V important!

Redcrayons · 15/08/2019 20:33

I always do it. And to cut up meat as well.

One of the 1001 useful things I've learnt about on MN.

Sayhellotothethings · 15/08/2019 20:37

Despicable

Flamingo84 · 15/08/2019 20:37

YABU, you must use the rickety pizza cutter that you have to saw back and forth until the cheese gets caught in the wheel and drags some of the toppings off.
That is the only acceptable way to eat pizza at home. If you don’t argue about who’s slice that mangled half of pepperoni came from then are you really even having a pizza night?!

Sparklingbrook · 15/08/2019 20:38

I also cut the rind off bacon with scissors.

sewinginscotland · 15/08/2019 20:39

I always do, my husband is horrified. He likes to awkwardly chop it up with the pizza cutter. I leave him to it :).

SamBeckett · 15/08/2019 20:39

I use scissors too but with a added umpf , I use a (new) pair of decorators scissors as the blades are much longer just two snips and you can cut a pizza in half

EleanorReally · 15/08/2019 20:39

always do this

Firecarrier · 15/08/2019 20:44

I do

NoLeopard · 15/08/2019 20:46

Using scissors means less stuff to wash up. I hold meat in the air and cut it up with scissors then straight into the pan. Pizza and garlic bread cut up on the cooking trays and then straight onto the plate. Sausages, bacon, all manner of party foods, doughnuts, yum-yum etc, the only way is scissors!

Leeds2 · 15/08/2019 20:49

I don't think I could bring myself to do this!

Mind, I don't eat pizza very often.

Nextphonewontbesamsung · 15/08/2019 20:50

Only if you wash them up properly every time - and all you bacon snippers too.
