To think we can holiday for less than 5k

We have a couple of weeks annual leave November and DH does not think we can go abroad somewhere warm for less than 5k for the three of us.

We've not been away for a few years, is he right? Am I that out of touch?

I agree with this and they have a heated pool so your DC would be able to swim all holiday. We hire a car before we leave and pick it up from the airport. It's about €70 for a week. We watched dolphins from the outdoor restaurant at breakfast when we went in April.

La Palma is completely different to all the other Canary Islands. It's not built up at all. We love it.

Of course you can - a quick google just found 2 weeks all inclusive in Tenerife in November from £5-600 per person.

Virgin and Emirates do good package holiday so it might be worth a look. British Airways are quite expensive, not sure if you can use Airmiles with the holiday service.

Of course you can! A nice Airbnb and flights can be super cheap that time of year, without sacrificing luxury.
