To think my toddler is ridiculous

What is with these tantrums?! Why do they loose their mind over placing a pillow down the wrong way? Please tell me I'm not alone! Let's share our silliest toddler tantrums. Ps am I being unreasonable to laugh in his face? Grin

My 5 year old just came in to tell me that my 4 year old had bitten her (doesn't happen often). I asked said 4 year old why he had bitten his sister and " because she tried to turn me into an ant". They don't get much better after toddlerhood lmao

DD got a strop on the other day because I told her she couldn't go and get her driving licence yet. Shes 5 Hmm

My DS has just thrown an epic tantrum because he wanted to sit on the pillow his sister was sitting on he was kicking her and trying to pull her off said pillow. I threatened him with time out which is sitting on an identical pillow for 1 minute cue lying on the floor crying and loosing his shit I can't help but laugh or I'd go stark raving mad grin]

Mine went ape shit at me this afternoon because I’d opened the curtains (she’d shut) and woke up her puppies (toy dogs). She was utterly pissed off with me.

Ds (3) has just cried because he is not in a photo with dp and i that was taken years before he was born Grin

Try explaining that to a tired grumpy 3yo...

Mine refused point blank to sit down on the train today. It was only two stops, so I let her hold the pole while I hovered. Then we got off the train and her face crumpled and she howled, “I didn't sit dooowwn! I wanted to sit down on train.” Argh.

@Userzzzzz that's so damn cute though!

I assume this is meant to be funny but what a horrible thread. Toddlers are learning to manage their emotions - their triggers may seem ridiculous to adults but they're all consuming at the time. As for laughing at them - imagine you were desperately upset about something and your OH laughed - it's abusive

I was just about done laughing at KungFuPanders stomped and farted comment and then got to this, cue another round of snorting laughter.

Will be offering to stick broken bananas back together with Nutella from now on too. We’ll see how that works out...

RoseAdagio · 14/08/2019 16:10

Laughing HARD at some of these. Thanks for sharing everyone....good to know you're not alone hey?!

My 18 month old is mostly an absolute delight but has been known to cry if she is trying to pull her socks off and they dont come off. She has also frequently cried when I have taken a tube of toothpaste or bottle of baby shampoo away from her to cruelly fool her mission to eat the contents. Mean Mummy. Or she cries because the toy she no longer has the toy she has just thrown on the floor...

I know it's a zombie thread BUT
Apparently I had the biggest meltdown as a kid 'cos mum wouldn't take me to the zooeum.

Weeks late we visited the local museum that had a stuffed lion in the entrance hall. Mum finally understood where I 'needed' to go.
