I'm having a boards game evening with family tomorrow night. The amount of board games out there is making it difficult to choose from so I thought I'd come ask you lovely lot. There will 4-5 adults and 2 children (8yo and 6yo)
I already have monopoly, pie face and operation for the kids
And I have speak out and an eletric shock game for the adults.
Thanks in advance ☺️

Top games in our house:)

We got the Mr and Mrs Family Edition for Christmas and played it with kids of a similar age, it’s hilarious! All age appropriate and the kids enjoyed the ones like “who farts the most?” And “who is the worst loser?”

Not a board game but The Name Game (Celebrity Fishbowl) has worked well in our house across multiple generations. You only need slips of paper, a large bowl and a timer.

We love Dobble

Ticket to Ride is really good - you have to build railway tracks to different destinations - the good thing is that the longest a game will last is 30 minutes! Look it up, it's worth the £25 it costs.

Don't Panic is really good for all ages, as is Dobble! Both really good fun.

Purpletigers · 09/08/2019 14:06

Pass the bomb can be very funny in mixed age groups.

Moraxella · 09/08/2019 14:19

@Drivemecrazy1974 30mins? Ours go on for hours 😂😂

Second ticket to ride- best game ever.
Also scattegories - you can easily do it without buying the game and suitable for all ages

Scene it - they do millions so pick one for a franchise you have all watched

LadyRannaldini · 09/08/2019 19:02

Diplomacy, it's similar to Risk but far more complex, but beware, it can go on for days and days.

Game of Life is awful! Just can’t see the point.
If you can still buy them, Outburst & Taboo are good fun.
