I was already hooked on his videos, I find him hilarious and that sort of humour appeals to my tiny, tiny mind.

But now a mum of a little girl who is a huge fan and also deaf has posted a video of him signing with her. She wasn't allowed on stage so he invited her back stage so he could sing whilst she signed. I'm in bits 😭it's such a lovely video and he just comes across as such a nice lad, If I was his mum I'd be so proud 😭😭😭😭

I don't get it ?? Should people from poor areas of Glasgow or whatever be seen and not heard ? Hmm

His mum's a nurse, his dad's a whatever he is and his siblings are all hard working, decent citizens.......the people in his life have managed to produce a decent, funny guy. Albeit a sweary one (( pretty normal amongst the Weegies I know tbh )) I find the snarky comments about the fact he's from a poor area of Glasgow absolutely bizarre.

I don't the sweary stuff. He's not some manufactured robot.

*Don't mind

OP - he's not from Glasgow. He's from Whitburn, and went to St. Kentigerns Academy. Whitburn is in West Lothian, which is a different place from Glasgow, which is a city. Its nearer Edinburgh, but is pretty much in the middle of the two.

I lived in said local area for a while. Whether or not that makes me "snarky", I don't care. Since I lived there, I will comment. It wasn't a great place to grow up if you're mixed race. People are permitted to have opinions!

The accent and the swearing and sense of humour are something I had had enough of after some time, it was almost as if being rough was particularly celebrated and had to exaggerated and celebrated. It was quite difficult to come from a different culture and live there.

Oh I love him!! Been listening to him for 2/3 years now since well before he was big and the difference in him is just unbelievable.

I want him to do a song for my wedding 👰

The instagram video of him with Noel Gallagher's daughter and the two of them shouting "Dad" at Noel on stage had me in stitches

Billythecat · 07/08/2019 23:32

He seems like a really lovely guy Smile

LoseLooseLucy · 07/08/2019 23:46

I love him, I especially enjoyed his 'slagged afff by someone old enough to be ma da' regarding Noel Gallagher.

He was born in glasgow, his parents moved when he was young.
My DD went to school with him, music was always his big thing and she says he always enjoyed a carry on!
