Is this fixable?!

I recently treated myself to having my hair done in a salon for the first time in almost 4 years (I've been seeing the same hairdresser for about 7 years but she's now home based). I spent £140 and I honestly hate it. It looks absolutely dreadful!

I know it'll grow and it's not the end of the world but I have really long hair that people always commented on. Now it's ruined!

Please, tell me if this is fixable!

The colour looks nice in the red t shirt pic

It looks lovely in the final picture where it’s down. It’s now highlights rather than the original balayage that you asked for. I wouldn’t go there again but don’t think I’d trust them to rectify anything now.
Give it 6-8 weeks and try somewhere else for your next session.

AwfulFuckingHair · 04/08/2019 14:12

It is just highlights, isn't it? She was supposed to even it out but because she's used a completely didn't blonde it looks even worse. Is there anything I can do to even it out now? The photos don't show just how bad the difference is. I know it's pathetic but I've cried because of this. I know it'll grow but it's taken about 5 years to get it to how it is now

Hmm. Can you ask for a refund? I had someone over bleach my hair years ago and a chunk of my hair fell off at the back. She curled it and never said anything.

AwfulFuckingHair · 04/08/2019 14:23

Fucking hell @latexsalesman. Did you get a refund?!

I don't want to upset them. They were lovely. I'm just never going back again.

This is what I asked for. Laughable. Actually laughable.

That's definitely not what you got! I had this problem years ago. I bought Wella Toner T18 online and Fanola No Yellow shampoo ang sorted it myself.

thejudgesaidhewasatitandIagree · 04/08/2019 15:10

Although yours is warmer than the look I was after. And her technique was shit. But from that last photo you need a toner.

My normal girl is rescuing it on Tuesday! She going to tone it down to closer to my natural colour.

I don't know whether I should ask for a partial refund or just leave it now? I don't want to be a bitch and I'm worried they'll think I'm just being picky.

T35 would be closest to what I'd want.

But right now it could've black as long as it was even!

Get a refund. They should at the very least be paying for the remedial work your regular hairdresser has to do.

hairycabbage · 04/08/2019 16:42

I hope you get it sorted.
If it helps I can recommend my hairdresser who works in an independent salon outside of the city centre. I trust nobody else to do my colour and she's very reasonable Smile Mark Blake are very good and I have my hair cut there but colour prices are extortionate !

AwfulFuckingHair · 04/08/2019 16:53

Who do you go to @hairycabbage?

Definitely get a full refund. You’ve allowed them the chance to fix it but they obviously aren’t capable so now you’ll have to pay someone else to do it. You shouldn’t be out of pocket for their mistake.

What shall I say?
