So bloody fed up, went to our gps surgery over a month ago about my palmoplanter psoriasis he said see your own G.P, called the week after still can't get an appointment so the receptionist said see the nurse and I did , can hardly walk so made another appointment and yet again I can't see my own gp but others were available so off I went and yet again he said I need to see my own G.P but if I can't get a sodding appointment with him how am I meant to get treatment.
Im so fed up and I need to rant as so much other shit is going on but I need at least one thing to go right.

If you have symptoms of infection like heat or problems with the rest of your body (like feeling shit) then you should go to A&E. In the event you can’t/don’t, email the worst picture to your GP/the surgery stating that X is your GP and you urgently need help from that person or someone else if they are on holiday.

Get a taxi to the walk in centre if you can't park! I think GP ignoring your health concern here is reportable. Call the practice manager and complain.

If you are on biologics, are you seeing a Dermatologist? Can you call the secretaries and get an appointment?

Hope you got to see one of our excellent NHS staff eventually

@6demandingchildren because we all bang on about how great it is on here and conversely how shite.

Hi OP,
Hope you got good medical attention.
I saw you know what your condition is and that others describe theirs as slow healing but just wanted to check that because it is feet and slow healing you are alert to any chance/symptoms of diabetes - might be wise to ask for a test for it?

Polyjuice · 28/07/2019 03:34

Surely you are under a clinical team of specialists (dermatologists perhaps?) who have prescribed methotrexate/ biologics for a complex autoimmune condition? Isn’t it them you should be calling, not your GP? You cannot expect GPs to deal with everything and perhaps this is why you are better off seeing a specialist; or at least please try. You must be in terrible pain. Or as others have said, A&E if sighs of infection.
