To hang out for hours in the supermarket chilled section to stay cool?

I hate this weather. I feel physically sick with the heat. Tomorrow is supposed to be even worse.

I am currently walking endlessly around the chilled section of my local supermarket whilst my 9mo naps in the pram. The milk section seems to be the coolest. I'll buy something before I go and spend a lot of money in here generally.

Any clever tips for staying cool or suggestions of other places with air con? My well-insulated house is toasty in winter but bad in the summer and I'm worried about DS sticking his fingers in a fan (and we're too cheap to buy a Dyson blameless one!)

I saw a post today about putting frozen bottles of water on a tray in front of the fan, it's supposed to mimic air con. Going to try it tonight

I'm wondering about going to the gym. Will I actually be any hotter than normal, with the a/c blasting away?

I'd have thought it would be lovely.
I went for a run at 7pm. Still 25 degrees! I came back sooo hot but after my shower I feel good and cool for the first time all day.

@Treaclepie19, no I dithered then just left it too late. Wish I had though cos I sat eating ice cream instead!
