To still be upset about SIL giving away result of tennis final

I can’t work out if I’m blowing this up out of all proportion. Was out this afternoon and unable to watch final of men’s singles at Wimbledon. I recorded it to watch this evening. SIL is big tennis fan and my husband messaged his sister asking her not to send any spoilers as we weren’t watching live. She is a huge Federer fan and sent us a message at approx 7.15pm with lots of sad faces and told us he’d lost. We’re not going to watch recording because to be honest what’s the bloody point. Still feeling very upset with her.

Surely if watching it was as important as you're now making it out to be now you'd have prioritised watching it?

Naomi, I am sorry for your loss. But it doesn't make the OP's upset any less important to her. I hate in when people do that - as if no-one can ever be upset again because there is always someone suffering to a greater extent.

Are there things that SIL enjoys that you have seen and she hasn't? Spoil S3 of Stranger Things for her? GoT? The Mousetrap?

It was mean of her but if you don't watch things live you are being unreasonable to get too upset about spoilers. This applies to TV shows too

Wtaf - get a life. If this is the sort of thing you throw a strop over either you must lead a highly stressed life falling out with everyone or a bloody easy and stress free one

You are being a child, op. I doubt your sil deliberately gave the game away, she probably just didn't think or maybe didn't even see your husband's text (is he as childish as you about knowing results or was he just placating you?).

Knowing the result won't stop you enjoying the match.
