Of her clear love of Tupperware.

❤️❤️❤️❤️

I’d love to know her favourite ones and what water bottle the kids had. And the cool bag. I loved that cool bag.

And in other news it’s a slow slow day in the gluey household.

The children don't eat with their parents at home? Like, never? I call bullshit on that.

Dahlietta · 12/07/2019 16:39

Good lord. Do we not even need bread and circuses anymore?

glueandstick · 12/07/2019 16:41

@Disfordarkchocolate

🙌 only the deepest darkest most miserable soul wouldn’t love a nice piece of picnicware. Snacks on the go are also joyous. Cor the miseries are out today. Here, have a sausage roll.

I don't eat with my kids in the week - they have dinner before I get home from work. We do eat together on Sundays (Saturdays are too busy so again don't eat with them then).

I don't think them eating dinner together is such a big deal!

Papergirl1968 · 12/07/2019 16:42

We haven’t had a picnic for ages. I’m craving one now. Hopefully we can have some over the school holidays.

dottiedodah · 12/07/2019 16:45

Isnt the Queen herself a big fan of Tupperware?.Seem to remember reading somewhere that she has quite a collection!.As others have said she probably decided what to take ,and her staff packed everything for her .She always looks cool and calm and unlikely to lose her rag!(probably easier with Nanny nearby though!)

SilverySurfer · 12/07/2019 16:46

I'm guessing she has no fucking clue what her chef or housekeeper use for the picnic so saying she loves Tupperware is obviously nonsense.

That was fascinating but time for me to go back to watching the paint on my wall dry.

SoupDragon · 12/07/2019 16:47

I find it amazing how much MNers know about the private lives of people in the spotlight and how they parent when at home.

VapeVamp12 · 12/07/2019 16:48

People saying Kate doesn't make their food or eat with them, don't read tabloid rubbish!

OutwiththeOutCrowd · 12/07/2019 16:53

The Queen's tupperware on her breakfast table. I reckon it's William that's the tupperware fan - tupperware love is in the royal dna.

ohcanada · 12/07/2019 16:56

I can't find any stats, but a couple of boxes of tupperware that you use for years really isn't that bad. I've had mine at least 5 years (if not more) and it's got at least that left in it.

What's the alternative?

Read this article and chill on plastics: qz.com/1585027/when-it-comes-to-climate-change-cotton-totes-might-be-worse-than-plastic/

Troels · 12/07/2019 16:59

I've still got lots of tupperware, I bought some of it when oldest sone was a baby. He's 31 next month.
Dd who is 14 took it to school with food in for a class party the other week. I told her if she leaves it behind she risks death. It came back safe.

Disfordarkchocolate · 12/07/2019 16:59

Well thank you @glueandstick, I don't mind if I do. Would you like a piece of homemade flapjack?

Excited101 · 12/07/2019 17:02

You do realise she’s an actual person right?! I’m sure she’s packed her own family’s picnic more than once! I should also imagine William has. They’re royalty, not magical unicorns.

Oldraver · 12/07/2019 17:04

I've had most of my Tupperware 30 odd years s if it's got nasty shit in it them I'm doomed

Sagradafamiliar · 12/07/2019 17:06

Hmm I thought she'd be more of a cath kidston bento box kind of gal

DryHeave · 12/07/2019 17:16

For the love of god, won’t someone post a link to the picnic?

bananasandwicheseveryday · 12/07/2019 17:21

I'm still using Tupperware items I bought in the early 1980's. My mum has got some that is much older than that. It may be plastic, but it's definitely not single use.

MyBootsAreMuddy · 12/07/2019 17:30

Is it the silver flowery bottle in back of the car? If so it looks like dd3s bottle which is Thermos, it was actually one that dbro brought over from NZ when he came for a visit recently, but you can probably get it here too.

spaniorita · 12/07/2019 17:30

All the people on here moaning about them using plastic, what do you use for picnics and packed lunches?

LauderSyme · 12/07/2019 17:30

Why do the links only work on the "tupperwares" without a capital letter? It's a brand, it's a real noun, shouldn't a capital T be the default? That's what I woz taught in skool anyway.

it is her housekeeper that likes tubberware I keep those containers strictly for mini pork pies and millionaires shortbread.

glueandstick · 12/07/2019 17:32

@Disfordarkchocolate ooh please. I love flapjack!!!!!!

OP posts:
glueandstick · 12/07/2019 17:33

@MyBootsAreMuddy thanks 🙌🙌 does it work well? I’m always looking out for a good water bottle.

BelindasGleeTeam · 12/07/2019 17:34

She does cook, it's not just the housekeeper. Apparently the kids like her macaroni cheese for dinner. And George helps William take the shopping delivery in.
Kate often seen in local Waitrose. I suspect she had a hand in the picnic.

FuriousVexation · 12/07/2019 17:34

Fucking hell, I despair of this nation.
