He was unbelievable tonight at ORNC. Encore was A Town called Malice. I am on such a high after that.

I know him personally so I’m not going by rags, but facts. Yes, a 27 year age gap.
20 & 47 when they met, not 26 and 52.
Nat and Leah went to state school, Dylan went to state primary and the 3 little ones are home schooled. So only two of them, Jess and Mac, have been privately educated and that was the decision of their mother, Sami.
Have a nice day.

The trick is, Laura, not to believe everything you read in the press. It’s rather naive to make opinions and assumptions based on what some journalist/editor thinks will sell their tat to people like you about someone neither you or they actually know. Wink

Encore was A Town called Malice

100 lonely housewives clutching milk bottles to their hearts.

Could've been written for MN.

Supergirlthesecond · 09/07/2019 12:55

Quite poetic, really @Lifecraft

Ok, I'll believe some random poster on an anonymous forum then.

Ooh er!

Paul Weller has had 8 children by 4 different women. Correct?
There is a whopping 26 year age difference between him and his current wife. Correct?

Three of his children have names that would probably provoke discussion on Mumsnet - StevieMac, Bowie and Nova. Correct?

Sallycinnamum · 09/07/2019 13:11

DH and I have seen Paul Weller loads of times but I don't think he's a particularly likeable person tbh.

He pretty much shafted the other two Jam members when he broke up the band and I read an interview where he admitted the way he left DC Lee was pretty awful. But then again I don't think he's ever given much of a shit of what people think of him!

Then there was that hideous film of him and Hannah paraletic in Prague. Not one of his best moments.

That said his music is amazing. You Do Something still send a shivers down my spine.

MumMumMumMumMumMum · 09/07/2019 13:28

This is getting boring so I’ll leave it at this...

No, 27 years as previously discussed but known each other 14 years, together 11, 9 years married with 3 kids so not sure how relevant that is at this point....? Judgey much? .... Eye roll.

Stevie is his name, not that peculiar really ?

Bowie is a very old Gaelic name meaning “blond” (Hannah’s family is Scottish). Nova is Hopi Native American meaning ”chases butterflies”. How sweet.

But you carry on enjoying yourself on Mumsnet talking trash about people you have literally no clue about.

And have a lovely day Smile

Bye.

I don’t read about celebs or their private lives - I focus on the music and live performance. The guy delivered a fantastic show and played a bit of everything to satisfy all the fans. Great atmosphere, beautiful setting, lovely vibe. Was a good show.

Well, he dumped Sammi after 13 years and 2 kids so I wish Hannah well with her 62 year old husband.

Like I said, people can choose to separate the man from his music. I still enjoy his music from The Jam era.

Trooperslaneagain · 09/07/2019 13:41

I've seen him 3 or 4 times.

He's my Celebrity Fuck (as in DH wouldn't mind if I shagged him).

DH's BFF met him at a gig in Holland and had a great chat with him. I could hardly speak to DHBFF because I was sooooooo jealous.

Supergirlthesecond · 09/07/2019 15:38

The problem is when you look into so many of these guys lives there are things there. I read the Epstein thread earlier and remembering hearing stories way back. I met some heroes early on as a child and was left in no doubt that their ego was the most talented thing about them. It is a good lesson to learn in a way and I don't idolise Weller - I was just genuinely caught up in the mood of the concert and it made me feel 15 again (which is a nice feeling!).

“Well, he dumped fell in love with someone else and left Sammi Sami after 13 9 years and 2 kids so I wish Hannah well with her 62 61 year old husband.”

Like I said, people can choose to separate the man from his music. I still enjoy his music from The Jam era.

And like I said, you know nothing about Paul or his family so it’s probably wise to follow your own advise, keep your misguided opinions to yourself and just enjoy the music.

Peace.

nowifi · 09/07/2019 15:55

Sallycinammonbangsthedruminthe · 09/07/2019 15:58

The man can do no wrong in my eyes!

Trooperslaneagain · 09/07/2019 16:25

@Supergirlthesecond - he's a keeper!

LauraMontreville · 09/07/2019 17:31

Well, he looks happy enough
