..to think that people who witter endlessly about killing threads are attention-seeking?

Hunker

It's not a talent, it's not something to be ashamed of or upset about.

It's not done on purpose.

People often don't even look at chatnames, let alone follow others round the board going "ooh, I won't post after HER, I would FAR prefer her to have killed this thread, that'd serve her right"

OK?

you seem fully conversant yourself. How pleasant.

VeniVidiVickiQV · 28/07/2007 01:03

You posted specifically to have a go at me.

And now YOU'RE the wounded party?!

F-u-c-k-i-n-g hell...

Indeed...I think that was the point....

Hmm
VeniVidiVickiQV · 28/07/2007 01:07

I don't think I said anywhere in my OP or anywhere else on MN ever that I wasn't an attention-seeker, anyway.

Would be untruthful, so I wouldn't say it

But I do think the reverse passive attention-seeking that is threadkilling is mighty tedious. Hence this thread.

ahh.

VeniVidiVickiQV · 28/07/2007 01:10

Custy, you've gone all monosyllabic.

Am having a shitey time in RL atm.

Hence pissing about on MN.

Don't say that to garner sympathy.

Just to explain.

my mum died, i was in a car crash, my son was in hospital, someone very close to me is having a meltdown.

i guess we all have our crosses to carry.

VeniVidiVickiQV · 28/07/2007 01:26

I give up.

I'm not playing "shit" oneupmanship with you.

I'm sorry for what you're going through, honestly.

I piss about a bit on here. I clearly offend you doing it. I can't help that, I don't think.

Tortington · 28/07/2007 01:44

i rather think the point became something different once you were outright rude. A sorry would have been sufficient.

it isn't your posting in general - i commented only on this thread becuase of its relation with those last night.

It seems of late, very regular respected posters have mistook my forthright postings using abrasive vernacular in a general context ( which is how i post) as a reason to be abrasive and rude in a personal context.

LoveAngel · 28/07/2007 05:57

VVV couldnt agree more!

VeniVidiVickiQV · 28/07/2007 08:47

You are right custy, people's posts are misconstrued on here more and more.

You cant even care about folk now without offending them.

Not by me i should add.....

I wasn't sorry I was rude though, because you were rude to me.

I am sorry you're having a shite time.

Therein lies the difference.

You clearly couldn't give a shit that I am going though, or that's what I got from your "crosses to carry" post, which seemed to be an attempt to make me think I was whinging about trivial crap (which I assure you I'm not, I just choose not to splash my personal life all over MN - not judging or criticising those who do, it's just not for me).

I am sure that I have seen you be rude before, not just forthright (your first post on this thread is rude, IMO). If I am wrong about that, I apologise also. I don't think I am though.
