Cat ate a mouse

Sorry this isn't an AIBU but posting here for traffic.
I am watching my friends cats and one of them brought a mouse into the house. The cat had eaten about half the mouse. Do I need to take the cat to see a vet? If not is there any signs I should look out for?
I tried to check google but was getting very conflicting information.

My outdoor cat eats mice all the time. It's at least half his diet. It's entirely normal.

If your child (or younger sibling) eats a boggie you don't need to take them to the doctor either.

Nor if your friend's dog eats a fly.

My cat ate tons of mice and lived to a good old age. That’s what cats do!

My cat loves (to eat) a mouse... in fact, our old neighbours were sad when we moved, because he was so good at pest control!

Sorry if people don't think this is real but it's my first time looking after a cat. When I googled it said to look out for signs of poisoning and other diseases. The last thing I want to do is phone my friend on holiday to tell her her cat is dead or seriously ill.

It not eating them that's a problem. It's when they bring them in alive and let them and it takes you a week to catch the bloody thing.

Professor Google is probably thinking of the small possibility the cat has eaten a rodent that has itself consumed rodent poison. Unless the cat shows signs of being unwell, you have no reason to be concerned.

Ah Bless. It's scary when they first bring one in but don't worry OP. It's The Way Of The Cat. My Vet is always moaning about what a fatty fatty boom boom my cat is but as an outdoor cat his life is 20% crapping in neighbours gardens, 50% snoozing on a chair in the garden, 20% begging food from neighbours and 10% fighting foxes. I can't control his life outside the house and nor would I want to. Grin

It's a cat thing. At least it was dead. My cat used to bring in live field mice to play with, never to eat, which are tinier than normal mice & buggers to catch to re release. Watching her eat huge spiders was a bit gross tho: her fave 'snack'.

What do you think cats are supposed to eat, OP?
Bet it wasn't a mouse. Bet it was a vole or a shrew or some other rodent.

I have often wondered why cat food company's don't make mouse , vole, worm , spider , goldfish , etc flavoured food .
I would hate to meet the cat that can take down a sodding cow or sheep
