It sounds like you need a major immune system overhaul, starting with that vitamin D deficiency. I can see many on that list that are attributable to Vitamin D. Doctors often forget to tell you it's imperative to take Vitamin K with D to make it work so do remember that if you didnt know.

You have my sympathy, that really is a hell of a list Flowers

TheSandgroper · 04/07/2019 05:39

Goodness, what a list. And at our age, too.

I look at much of what you have and I would have them as well if I hadn't sorted out my diet. Many of your signs and symptoms are indicative of food intolerance. Links between food and reactions are not much studied by doctors.

I would strongly suggest a dietitian trained in the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital Allergy Unit elimination diet www.slhd.nsw.gov.au/rpa/allergy/. I believe that there are some in the UK. Someone here may be able to help. www.fedup.com.au/information/support/contacts. I am told some dietitians in Australia do Skype appointments if all else fails.

Some information here www.fedup.com.au/information/frequently-asked-questions/symptom-questions may encourage you to look further into the website. There is a load of information. There are facebook groups for assistance but with such a list of problems, self help would be ill advised.

Dietary changes are not necessarily a magic bullet. Your list suggests to me (from my uneducated couch) a long history of internal disturbance and healing can take time and effort but ends up worthwhile.

You are welcome to message me if you wish.

HermioneMakepeace · 04/07/2019 05:56

How much do you weigh and how tall are you?

endofthelinefinally · 04/07/2019 06:44

Are you loading up the vitamin D? I agree with pp that a lot of that list looks like vit D deficiency, indeed, several vitamin deficiencies, and food intolerance.
What investigations have you had?
What is your diet like?

mushroomwall · 04/07/2019 06:48

Op I saw my GP recently as at the end of my tether with worsening sciatica and have ran out of self help actions to take. Gp referred me to joint clinic but also did a suite of bloods and was particularly interested in my vit d. Results showed deficiency and since I've been taking supplements, my leg pain has reduced drastically to the point where the sciatica is back to being an irritation rather than reducing my mobility. Good luck x

Nautiloid · 04/07/2019 06:49

Being a very overweight person, I cannot quite believe I am going to write this as it would likely make me angry if someone said it to me, but are you very overweight? The reason I ask is that, at a much younger age than you, I suffer from quite a few of the ailments on your list and they are linked to my weight and nutritional status.

endofthelinefinally · 04/07/2019 07:12

The other things that should be checked are thyroid function and diabetes screening. Has your urine and blood been tested for sugar?

BuildBuildings · 04/07/2019 07:19

Pp asking how much op weighs and height, do you think the whole list can be attributed to obesity?!

That is a long list op. I have an underactive thyroid and associated vitamin / iron deficiency. So understand the frustration of multiple issues which are related. What are the things that bother you the most in daily life? Could you try to concentrate on those?

outreach29 · 04/07/2019 07:31

@BuildBuildings of course weight and height are relevant.

It may be the OP has type 2 diabetes as well and hasn't mentioned that.

Crotch fungal infection points to being overweight definitely, so I think that might be why people are asking that.

Kahlua4me · 04/07/2019 07:48

I have some of them too and have been trying to sort out my diet. I do eat plenty of fruit and veg, cook from scratch etc but also eat too many cakes and chocolate.

My gp has advised that I look at diet doctor and try that so maybe have a look and see if tat would work for you.

It does look as though reviewing or even overhauling your diet would help..

cptartapp · 04/07/2019 07:52

A few on those list are linked with diabetes. Presume you've been checked?

Nautiloid · 04/07/2019 07:53

I wouldn't attribute the whole list, no, and as someone with a decades long struggle with weight and someone with a BMI of nearly 40, I wouldn't suggest 'just lose weight' either. God knows I understand it's not that simple and OP may not be overweight at all

Of course there could be tons going on. I asked because lots of those issues, in my case, are often linked to weight and blood sugar.
OP seemed to be after an explanation.

Supersimpkin · 04/07/2019 11:23

. watching

livingthegoodlife · 04/07/2019 11:30

In my thirties here with a similar list but I have an immune deficiency.... Only a size 8 though.

Presumably your immune system has been checked?

Excited101 · 04/07/2019 11:37

Do you have health anxiety op? There’s a fair number on that list that really aren’t huge issues, and a large amount of people could write a long list if they were to dig out each and every problem or condition that they have/have had in the past.

I’d work primarily on your mental health issues, that will help you be able to tackle the physical ones that need immediate attention more successfully and improve your general overall feeling.

alexander0506 · 04/07/2019 12:03

14,15 &16 should not be limiting in any sense, you can sort out athlete's foot quite easily (get Scholl products for that), 24, 26 and 28 are annoying but I wouldn't class them as 'conditions', 31 and 32 can be solved, and 35 - is this not linked to an allergy?, number 6 is one of the symptoms of no.7 so should be taken out, 25 - lots of people have it and it flares up rather than is constant ifswim?
If you take all of the above out, your list will get much smaller which might help with anxiety and OCD.

DontCallMeShitley · 04/07/2019 12:21

Aside from the Vit. D deficiency causing some of the symptoms it also looks as if you might have Candida. Several fungal issues and other symptoms in your list.

That could be diet related if you are diabetic, also if you have a high yeast and sugar diet as Candida thrives on those.

White patches/spots on the skin are also an indication of a yeast problem, if you have pale skin they don't tend to show but if you are white skinned and get a slight tan they show up.

PookieDo · 04/07/2019 12:31

I have a few on your list

Asthma
Fibroids - keep coming back got to have a hysterectomy
Hair loss
Vit D deficiency
Anemia
Heartburn/reflux
Hyper hydrosis
Severe acne
Piles
Excess body hair
Fibrous breast tissue
Nerve pain
Migraine
Anxiety

  • Firstly, I am overweight. Losing it would help. Are you?
  • Secondly vit D deficiency really makes you feel like complete shit and causes a lot of these issues
  • Thirdly on testing I have high prolactin so some of my issues might also relate to THAT

my advice to you is to break down the list into Long Term Conditions ie chronic. This will make the list smaller and less scary

LTC - asthma/chest - Are you on the right meds? Having reviews?
Liver - are you being treated?
Bowel issues - often made worse by poor diet, do you have absorption issues or is IBS a side effect of medication?
Thyroid - as above
Depression - is this being treated?

The other conditions are side effects/follow on issues, and also things that happen as we age sadly but looking at the picture as a flow diagram will help you. Chronic conditions at the top, smaller conditions as side effects iyswim

Bluesheep8 · 04/07/2019 13:19

I wondered about health anxiety too, if I'm honest....

YesQueen · 04/07/2019 13:30

I'm 35 Blush haematology likes to say I gather conditions nobody can spell...

Autoimmune neutropenia
Cauda equina
Nerve damage from above
Lifetime abscesses (HS)
Cholinergic urticaria
Vitiligo
Dermographism
Acne
Depression
Generalised anxiety disorder
PTSD
TMJ - teeth clenching/grinding

Nearlythere1 · 04/07/2019 14:09

I second @DontCallMeShitley on the candida. That manifests in all sorts of ways just like the Vitamin D, especially skin conditions such as athletes foot and eczema, not just things like thrush. There is a medication for it, nystatin, it will kill it dead, but it also kills all the other good stuff in your body, so if you take it, be ready with probiotics and a careful diet. Candida can make you feel so sluggish and depressed. So, in conjunction with the vitamin K and D, the candida is the one I'd also be tackling. These 3 are ones you can do yourself, which is the good thing, they just take a bit of dedication!

Nearlythere1 · 04/07/2019 14:10

P.S Your issues with your teeth are immune system and Vit D related!

timeforakinderworld · 04/07/2019 14:15

I have a good few of those including vital d deficiency. You might not be able to cure everything but you can probably improve to some extent. Btw my doctor said that I am not overweight but a lot of my symptoms are seen in obese patients - I think I am chronically unfit rather than overweight per second and am trying to fix that.

YumyumAndyum · 04/07/2019 14:16

What is thyroid failure?

Beechview · 04/07/2019 14:24

Many people are intolerant to such things as wheat and dairy so it might be worth looking at your diet and eliminating certain things for a while. Look at fodmap and taking dairy out of your diet for a few weeks. It is strict but it might be worth it if you discover an intolerance or start to improve.
