To think waxed chests are now the norm for men.?

I am just wondering if i am out of step here because everywhere i turn whether its in real life or in the media, all i see is men with totally bald smooth presumable waxed chests. Is this now the norm? It must take a lot of maintenance. How far do you go? Do you also also shave and wax your pubes/balls?

jim-bunny muscles

I’m calling them this from now on.

Weirdly I saw today for the first time an advert for veet for men with a young man removing his chest hair. It was an advert on before toy story which I thought was a bit odd - I guess they’re targeting hairy dads!

A limp willy against baldness looks like a wrinkled nose, my bf has lots if very thick dark head hair and has lots of chest hair which I love

SimonJT · 29/06/2019 18:40

I don’t know anyone who waxes their chest, despite being able to grow a full beard at the age of 13 I don’t have any chest hair, I also don’t have a snail trail. There are lots of hairy and not hairy men at the gym.

I did once shave my (not very hairy) bum, never ever again, when that turns to stubble you’re in a whole lot of bother.

Husband is like a yeti. His chest is left hairy and he gets me to shave his back and shoulders when it's summer.

MagicKingdom · 29/06/2019 18:52

I am a beauty therapist & used to work in a spa/gym. Men had underarm, legs, back, chest and arm waxing. All ages and races.

WillLokireturn · 29/06/2019 18:53

Ewwww. I like a man with a hairy chest. Of course I prefer it or he tames the other areas (pubes and under arm with a clipper every now and then)
But not everyone likes a waxed chest.

Eh, god, I’d hope not. I imagine it’s like how bald vulvas are ‘everywhere’. In reality, the majority of women have their pubic hair and most men are not at all bothered either way.

Mammyloveswine · 29/06/2019 19:08

Oooh I love a hairy chest!! It's manly!

My DH is a bit gorilla like though and I did get a shock at his hairy arse when we first had sex Grin totally used to it now though!

Christ, no. Aside from shaving my face, the only hairs I remove are those that persist in growing from ears and nostrils. This particular feature of being over 40 can do one.

cocomelon23 · 29/06/2019 20:01

My dp is 51 and waxes his chest and back

IncrediblySadToo · 29/06/2019 20:09

minutopia how the hell can you claim to know what ‘most ‘ women do with their vulvas? Meeting me on the street you’re not going to have any idea of whether I’m
An all on ‘70’s bush or an ‘all waxed off’ kind of woman FFS

MEN, other than facial hair I prefer then ‘natural’ whathevrr their ‘natural’ is I can’t be done with men that ‘fuss’

If I was given the choice I prefer a bit of a hairy chest, but my very sexy ex had about 3 hairs on his chest

As for sack & crack please just leave it natural waxed looks daft IMO

Bezalelle · 29/06/2019 20:34

The only men I know who wax are my gay mates.

DP is disappointingly un-hairy despite his dad being Turkish. If he waxed what little chest hair he has, I'd be devastated!
